Have managed to find a lot of the cards I'm after and gave it a test run last night. I got hit by 21 commander in the first game in one turn (flying, when I had a board full of tokens. Then in the 2nd game I won. Marath, Will of the Wild and Cathars' Crusade is really dirty. Swung lethal at the other 3 players in the same turn (40, 35 and 33 life each) on turn 8 or 9 (I had also using a Hive Stirings - filler) and had Parallel Lives out.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll see if I can pick a Mycoloth up. I'm not too sure about Verdeloth though. I'll put it on my list :).

Thanks Mind. I'm not too sure about Rith, but like the other 2. Not sure if they'll make the cut though :). Depends on what else, as I already need to make room for a few cards.

Also, the deck is at 100, I might've forgot to cut a couple when I updated it last night, as I only have 100 slips lol.

I'd look at some of the more expensive one shot spells for cuts. Ive found things like Fireball to be underwhelming unless you're running mana doublers like Mana Reflection , Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger , Mirari's Wake and Mana Flare . That or some form of infinite mana combo...

Unless the one shot spells are there to win you the game like a Fireball or Comet Storm could do...they're probably not worth the inclusion. You're better off with sweepers to X for 1 creatures, and exile for particular problems...since you know, being a token army you may not want to wipe your own board too often.

A couple of these changes depend on what my groups thoughts are though on certain combos. I don't think any on there are banned.

I'm looking to cut the following atm for room:

Fireball , Heliod, God of the Sun - not sure here, Batterskull , Druidic Satchel , 1 Forest ,One Dozen Eyes ,Garruk Wildspeaker ,Advent of the Wurm ,Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip ,

for:Sacred Foundry ,Gruul Turf ,Mycoloth ,Earthcraft ,Squirrel Nest ,Epic Struggle ,Boros Signet ,Gruul Signet ,Selesnya Signet

Another combo of that nature is Ogre Battledriver + Wild Beastmaster

Seems pretty solid. I would cut Revoke Existence for Austere Command.

I don't like Nylea so much. You don't seem to be "big mana" enough for her pump ability to be too good, and a token strategy goes wider than it goes tall, making the trample ability less effective.

I'm curious if you have too many cards like Cathar's Crusade, Eldrazi Monument or Akroma's Memorial i.e. cards that require a pretty good board position to be of any use. But I can't say for sure without playing the deck. Do you often glut on those?

I like Regrowth over Noxious Revival, that's just me though.

Elspeth Sun's Champion seems really good. A token maker and an anthem in one card. Granted that's the ultimate, but there's a non-zero chance of firing it off when you have infinite token defenders.

I feel like Earth Craft and Squirrel's Nest don't do enough on their own to warrant the combo. Especially with only 12 basics. But maybe you have enough tutors, I dunno. It occurs to me Plea for Guidance finds both parts of the combo, which is cute, but that card kind of sucks otherwise. So this isn't a suggestion to run it.

Thanks Turbo.

I'll try out Austere over Revoke. I can see Nylea being cut, I guess I just like the trample lol. I'll try -Nylea and + Gahiji, Honored One ?

I have won games where the only spells I have cast are Crusade and Marath (that combo is broken!). I have cut a few anthems, but haven't actually tested this properly yet, post changes.

I can see where you're coming from with that and I'll give it a shot.

Elspeth was in there originally and I thought she might be a bit slow, but I'll try and fit her back in (probs for Nylea).

I was running Plea in my original list :D. Cut it due to how costly and slow it was. I guess I just really like the combo there, And Earthcraft actually helped me ramp really well a couple of games ago (with old list). At worst, Nest is a 1/1 a turn (which while slow isn't all that bad imo. I could cut them, but atm I'd really like to keep them in.

Do you think I should look at cards like Sensei's Divining Top and Scroll Rack ?

I like Top better than Scroll Rack. The latter requires more cards in hand to be more effective, and without a ton of card draw it isn't so good. Top is just all around great, though.

Funny, I didn't notice the synergy between Crusade and Marath, that is pretty cool.

But yeah, take all of my comments with a grain of salt, you've obviously more experience with the deck than I do. :3

I've swapped Nylea for the Elspeth and I'm debating cutting Eldrazi Monument for Top, but not sure yet.

Thanks for the help :)

So..This is testing really well! I'm enjoying playing it so much. I've lost once in the past 4 games (I was targeted really early due to how fast I won the game before and couldn't get anything going, mainly due to mana constraints).

I'm debating cutting Eldrazi Monument for another form of ramp. Any suggestions?

Cultivate mark II. I like it. Any other ones I should be considering do you think? Or I could just throw in Top there.

TurboFagoot says... #19

I think Top should go in ASAP.

But Cultivate is Kodama's Reach mark II, Kodama's Reach came first. ;D

I'll put Top in over Monument then (not Reach).

Close enough lol.

I'd also like to fit in Hour of Reckoning , do you think it's worth it over something like Day or Wrath?

July 30, 2014 10:52 p.m.

TurboFagoot says... #21

I think they're both worth having in the deck.

+1 for the deck name. Looks like a really fun deck to play.

Cheers mate. It is quite fun, unfortunately I don't get to play it much, due to the fact that a lot of people find it too good in my area (insta-targeted) :/.

So I just play my Phage one and I'm currently building a UWR Midrange (value creatures).
