Well if I have to replace something for Atarka and on top of that replace something for Ranger's Guile, that may cause me some issues.

I need something that deals with Siege Rhino in red and or green, preferably instant, if not sorcery will work.

Yeah, sorry about that, wasn't really thinking...long day. But in terms of removal combat tricks like Roar of Challenge or Savage Punch then clean up with a Magma Spray to exile.

i would suggest 1 or 2 Xenagos, God of Revels to make your big creatures bigger but overall great deck

zethk Thank you, I am modifying my sideboard to have Xenogods, I really am not enjoying Fated's so away they go for Xenagod and maybe an Anger of the Gods

If you can get the Ferocious on Crater's Claws reliably enough then it would make sence to run them over lightning strike.

XxHazard001xX says... #11

Maruck Well I can't use it turn 2 to do 3 damage, that is where Lightning Strike is more powerful, Crater's Claws is meant for giant beaters or finishing stall games. Thanks for the feedback!

I got rid of Fated Conflagration It is way too cumbersome, I've never sided it in, even against Siege Rhino or Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker So I got rid of them for 2x Anger of the Gods and 2x Xenagos, God of Revels

This is close to what I was using when Khans came out, it's hard to run in my local meta because there's SO MUCH control, and removal. Honestly if I would change anything I'd possibly replace Arbor Colossus with #Hornet Queen. IF you went a more aggro approach obviously early Become Immense + Prophetic Flamespeaker + Titanic Growth is brutal. Goblin Rabblemaster is value ofc.Gather Courage is a nice cheap pump as well. But you're midrange so some of those are out of the question. Hornet Nest possibly over Fanatic of Xenagos. Purely because it makes your opponent think twice before hitting, OR it could bait one of there removals, AND THEN you could play Stoke the Flames or Lightning Strike on the stack, onto your Hornet Nest to kill your own Hornet Nest making their removal fizzle, allowing you to stabilize, create board presence, possibly even pump a token next turn. Sometimes good defense means a better offense.

I like the idea of running Hornet Queen and Hornet's Nest but the nest puts be onto the defensive, and I don't think that will benefit me at all.I have considers rabblemasters but for that I'd have to change a few aspects of the deck and just go all out aggro.Thank you for the suggestions! xenagrixbolas

No problem, just trying to help with feedback and constructive criticism. It really comes down to your own local meta though when playing competitively, no one size shoe fits all for everyone, and every deck. Good luck, I suggest Hornet Queen strictly tho. for the sheer fact it's a great value card, sure it is expensive, BUT it gives you flyers, that can be used offensively and defensively, Deathtouch is just a ridiculous ability that can outclass so many threatening creatures an opponent may throw your way, it can really stall your opponent those pesky insects. They can also get pumped from your Nylea, God of the Hunt

Well I would hope that it got first place, having a pricetag of $609.61!! XD

March 13, 2015 11:29 a.m.

XxHazard001xX says... #17

It only costs 320 bucks, the rest of the price is the alternative art and foils

March 13, 2015 11:31 a.m.

Oh yeah I figured as much, but $320 is still a pretty big chunk of change lol

XxHazard001xX says... #19

It is, but if you look at your collection you will have a lot of these cards I only spent 170 on few cards. And a strong abzan deck can go to 400-500 dollar range

March 13, 2015 noon

What do you think about the upcoming Dragonlord Atarka? Would it have a place in this deck? I am thinking about picking up a playset, as I fear a sudden rise in price later on.

March 16, 2015 1:34 p.m.

XxHazard001xX says... #21

Price won't rise, and a playset is not needed in any deck even a devotion, I may work around her once theros and m15 rotate

March 16, 2015 1:36 p.m.

So for now it is not regarded as an option? Anything in Dragons of Tarkir that you have been considering?

I have been running RG Midrange monsters in standard for about nine months. My death is quite different than yours. It is a little slower but I have had great success at FNM's recently. The shop I play at has 5 rounds and 20+ players every week. I have placed in the Top 4 each week for a month straight. The meta is very competitive with many tier 1 decks. Xenagos, God of Revels, Stormbreath dragon, Polukranos, and burn are the core of my deck. It is not devotion based and this works just fine. I sacrifice a little speed(Probably only one turn because of ramp, and gain stronger creatures, better spells, and much more damage output. If you're willing to give it a try, slow down a little, and beat them down with the best creatures in standard.

If you're still looking for answers to Siege Rhino you could run a few Hunt the Hunters in the sideboard. They're good into any green creature deck

XxHazard001xX says... #25

I agree but after playing this deck I found that I have no issues with Siege Rhino, if anything I can beat it down or burn it post combat.
