maxon I really like Forced Adaptation . I need more ramp in this deck anyways. But it gets guys big permanently for cheap. Put it on Invisible Stalker and it gets scary after two turns or so. If I replaced it, it would be with Ring of Evos Isle which does the same but with hexprrof if I pay more mana.

I like the idea of Blighted Agent , but wouldn't you be better off with having all your creatures going for life damage? I haven't run it, but I like the evasiveness/power of Drakewing Krasis . Maybe that could be a good fit?

maxon Yeah someone brought that up earlier. I'm still testing that out. So far it's worked well but I need to play it more to see. So which would you rather have between Cloudfin Raptor and Judge's Familiar if I just put in one of them?

You need creatures that can swing for more than 1. I would go with Cloudfin Raptor to start, since it can become a 3/4 easily in this deck, although it's only very useful as a turn 1/2 play. If it's not doin it for you, try Judge's Familiar . I would use Cloudfin Raptor first though. And if you wanted something to replace that infect creature, you could toss Fog Bank back in, cause it IS a great defender. or Wall of Blossoms for a little defense that replaces itself, and helps evolve cloudfin.

maxon Yeah that was my thought on cloudfin. Thank you. Wall of Blossoms is interesting with that draw.

Mhmm, smooth Deck! +1 I would consider to change Giant Growth with Might of Old Krosa cuz i guess u play Giant Growth mainly in ur turn, so Might of Old Krosa would give u an additional +1/1 on ur Creature.

RemzZz thank your the up vote and suggestion. That is definitely a better card than Giant Growth

Groundswell Works but only if you're making enough land drops.

Mutagenic Growth is +2+2 for 0 mana.

Also maybe some Ponder /Brainstorm /Gitaxian Probe for card advantage.

If this deck wants to go into modern-level prices, shocks and Remand would work.

Livewire Lash is a personal favorite of me, but really not that good.

fetches, not shocks

FangedRamen I've been playing around with draw cards. I thought about Brainstorm a lot but figured I'd try out Curiosity instead. Ponder is banned in modern by the way.

As far as the pumps go, Groundswell would be cool but i don't have a strong mana pool since my average card cost is 1.60. Mutagenic Growth is cool but you need to watch your life closely with this deck. It could lead to some trouble in the as few rounds. And my one drop is giving +4/+4 so it's not that big of a deal. The trick with these kind of decks is finding the perfect balance of pump and draw.

I never really understood the point of fetch lands. Why not just put a land in the deck instead? Or am i missing something?

Brainstorm isn't modern legal. I'm pretty sure it's most recent printing was around 5th edition (not counting duel decks).

The point of fetch lands is:

  1. It makes it so you have less lands in your deck so you're more likely to draw spells as the game goes on.

  2. They can fetch shocklands to help fix your 3 color mana base.

  3. It's better than a Forest or an Island because it can be either depending on what you need, or it can be a shock/ABUR dual.

Thanks, Potato. I'm not seasoned with modern, so I forgot.

The point of fetches btw is that they thin out your deck, because they get rid of 2 cards instead of one, giving you a higher chance of getting your important cards. They also feed your graveyard and can find 7 different shocks with each (giving AMAZING splashing possibilities), but those are irrelevant to you, because your deck is only 2 color and does not have graveyard utility. If you're on a budget, though, just forget about shocks. They are super expensive.

Since you have a fast deck, you might want Yavimaya Coast .I would replace Hinterland Harbor with Misty Rainforest and Temple of Mystery with Yavimaya Coast .

I would replace Blighted Agent with Gitaxian Probe , because you're either running infect or you're not.

Hi, i see it like FangedRamen you should better run without infekt.

What about change Blighted Agent with Triton Shorestalker and the Cloudfin Raptor with True-Name Nemesis . With these changes you would fullfill your unblockable theme by 100 % and your CMC would still be under 2 ;)

I do think Triton Shorestalker is at least > Cloudfin Raptor .

It's a killswing card, though. If you're already unblockable, it doesn't take much, 6-7 mana turns your 6-8 damage/poison swinging with 3-4 creatures into 12-20 damage/poison with a single card, vs risking someone fogging against multiple giant growth effects. Also, still CMC<3 :P

Also because of the way layers work, your counters and enchantments stack with it, so you're not losing anything there either.

I'm currently working on a modern unblockable deck, and it's always nice to see others doing it as well! I was looking through the comments and I noticed that the cipher keyword was mentioned. Look no further than Hidden Strings . If you cast Triton Shorestalker T1, cast it at the beginning of T2 untapping the lands used for the spell and ciphering it onto the triton, you'll be able to make two T2 plays instead of one. For example, you can cast Phytoburst first main phase, swing for 6, untap both lands when the cipher ability goes off, and then cast a Invisible Stalker during your second main phase. Hope this helps :)

I recently made a modern unblockable deck designed for multiplayer, consisting of three elements: 1) Triton Shorestalker, Invisible Stalker and Fog Bank as base creatures along with a few others less important, 2) a ton of equipments like Lightning Greaves, Cranial Plating, Elixir of Immortality etc., and 3) 4x Whelming Wave.

The key card is Whelming Wave. I just throw out as many equipments and artifacts as possible, then I sweep the board (hopefully round four) causing all other players to pick up their creatures while my equipments remain intact. And since all my creatures only cost 1-2 mana to play, and nearly all my equipment costs 1 to equip, this is what a game may look like:

  • Round 1: Island, Triton Shorestalker
  • Round 2: Island, Fog Bank
  • Round 3: Island, Elixir of Immortality, Cranial Plating
  • Round 4: Island, Whelming Wave (Pick up Triton Shorestalker and Fog Bank)
  • Round 5: Triton Shorestalker, Lightning Greaves. Equip Cranial Plating then Lightning Greaeves on Triton Shorestalker, swing for 4.
  • Round 6: Island, second Cranial Plating, Fog Bank, Equip Cranial plating on Triton Shorestalker. Swing for 9.
  • Round 7: Second Whelming Wave, Triton Shorestalker. Equip Lightning Greaves, swing for 1.
  • Round 8: Fog Bank, Curiosity on Triton Shorestalker, equip both Cranial Platings, swing for 9. Draw a card, first opponent should be dead.
  • Round 9: Island, third Whelming Wave, Triton Shorestalker, Curiosity. Equip Cranial Plating and then Lightning Greaves, swing for 5, draw a card.

Just rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat. It's a slow but fun deck because it fucks up everyone else's meta. It's very different from yours but I just wanted to share. :)
