Epic news!!! Archive Trap only needs to check for the word 'search' for it to trigger alternative cost, therefore something like Extirpate or Surgical Extraction works for the mill. Yahooo!!! free 13 mill for 1 manaVictory dance!!!!

I don't think that combo would work. Seeing as Archive Trap says "If an Opponent" searched his or her library. They wouldn't be doing the searching, I would.

I would replace the Hedron Crab s with Jace's Phantasm . Not a milling card, but in a mill deck, you can have a 5/5 flyer for 1 mana

Oh, YOU'RE out of cards?

Looks like a fun deck for casual. Also Nephalia Drownyard or the M13 B/U dual land perhaps?

Onyx, You're the first one to ever notice! The deck is great for casuals, and it's hilarious when things go my way. This afternoon I'm going to swing by the shop and try to pick up a few cards. Such as Dimir Aqueduct , and Drowned Catacomb . I'd like to add maybe 2x of Ensnaring Bridge to my sideboard for games that may need it.

Thought Scour works very well as a one-drop and I would run it over Pilfered Plans . Also, I feel like Ensnaring Bridge doesn't work so well in mill, because you are supposed to be constantly milling out the opponent, thus decreasing the number of cards in your hand. And with very few draw spells, your hand size will continue to drop, thus rendering the card useless.

I would also suggest playing Preordain if you have any, because, like Ponder , it allows you to pick what you want to draw next, and even has the added bonus of allowing you to put lands at the bottom of your library if you don't need them.

I would suggest adding in Consuming Aberration . Even though you wrote in the description that you have creature hatred, he has served me very well in all mill decks that I have (currently 2). He mills whenever you play a spell, and he is a huge body that could kill your opponent in one hit.

Also, just as a side note, mill is usually not best played in Emperor, unless you are the Emperor. But apart from that, good luck in Deck Building :)

I think you misread Ensnaring Bridge . If I'm down to 1-2 cards in my hand, nothing with a power greater than that number can attack which throws up a giant wall of defense (In my play group, it's commonly refered to as the wall of f*ck you).

I'll switch to Thought Scour over Pilfered Plans , as the CMC of it is brutal to try to squeeze in on a normal turn basis.

I have plenty of draw power, so I don't plan on adding anymore. Consuming Aberration is fun and all, but I just didn't like him. I have a play set of them, but just choose not to run them anymore.

Milling is actually pretty handing in mill in my meta at least, more often than not, I end up being emperor and I've single handedly milled out both generals, and the emperor.

Mind Funeral isn't standard. I ran it previously when this deck was in casual stages. And it really is a gift to the player!

May I suggest Nephalia Drownyard? It can be useful when you have nothing better to play.

Absolutely beautiful! I am in the process of building my own Dimir Mill as well. Check it out, give me some feedback! As far as yours, Crypt Incursion seems to hinder Consuming Aberration. If you are looking for removal, and you are sticking to casual, try Extirpate

Mindcrank combo with Duskmantle Guildmage inf mill when you activate his first ability

A couple really useful mill cards would be Keening Stone, Phenax, God of Deception, and Sands of Delirium. You could also look at one of my decks, Erasing the Future, if you need some more ideas, though there are quite a few similar cards in our decks.
