Pingers are creatures that deal small amounts of damage, usually 1 damage, at constant intervals. We usually refer to creatures with activated abilities that tap to deal 1 damage as pingers. However, if we want to broaden this term and embrace all possible options, we can include creatures like Erebor Flamesmith, which have triggered abilities that deal 1 damage. The same goes for Guttersnipe, among others.

Thanks to these cards, which are responsible for generating small amounts of damage, we can deal much more impactful amounts when our commander is present on the field.

Since the damage caused by red sources depends on the power of Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, the best way to amplify this damage is to increase the power of our commander. We will use several tricks to do this.

In the equipment section, we have the Commander's Plate, which can further increase your stats and grant you protection against any color other than Red. And Blackblade Reforged, which is the real protagonist when it comes to scaling our Ojer Axonil.

Torbran, Thane of Red Fell is not necessarily a good Burn commander, even though it is the most obvious, but it is a great support. Fiery Emancipation helps by tripling its damage, which can often be fatal if you have a very large Ojer Axonil dealing commander damage. The same can be said for Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, which is capable of doubling the damage caused out of combat by any of its sources.
