I don't think that Reality Shift is a good card in this deck, a 2/2 can still be annoying to deal with, I'd recommend a few Devouring Light's

I suggest more Narsets, since she is pretty much your Jace, AoT here. Only three though, because while Jace dies while giving you advantage, she can be a tough nut.

What should go out

I'd say the Reality Shift. It's good in a deck with big creatures that don't mind the 2/2, but awful in control. Not to mention they could manifest something worse.

I am talking about the extra narset

Out:

2xEvolving Wilds 1xReality Shift 2xValorous Stance

In:

2xRadiant Fountain1xNarset Transcendent2xAnticipate

These are my suggestions. I honestly don't care if you follow them or not.

I find that Radiant Fountain's life gain can help a ton against aggro decks, and the fact that it only adds colorless rarely affects me negatively. As said many times before, Reality Shift is not good in control. The manifest can kill your planeswalkers and deal a considerable amount of damage to you before you find the time to do something about it. My last suggestion I'm not so sure about, so that one's really up to you. I run 4 Anticipates, which in play testing are VERY helpful, but Valorous Stance is a great card as well.

2jstudios how do you think of the Silumgar, the Drifting Death in the sideboard.

March 14, 2015 2:26 p.m.

JJStudios says... #8

I think he's okay, but I don't think you will find the need to main board him very often.

I usually sideboard him in against Temur Aggro , Jeskai Tokens, R/W Aggro and Mono Red.

Temples that add black like silence and deceit instead of plenty and mystery because of the silumgar

Thanks for the advice Guardians

I don't see any particular need for 4x Haven of the Spirit Dragon in this deck. I would also recommend having more than Dragonlord Ojutai as a win con, since when you swing with him he becomes vulnerable to removal. Instead I would add Resolute Archangel and perhaps Pearl Lake Ancient since this will allow you to recover any life loss and have an evasive finisher. Nullify is also something to consider. I would also remove the extra temples for basic lands. They feel unnecessary and serve only to slow down your deck.

The additional temples are for the sideboard Silumgar, the Drifting Death also the 4x Haven of the Spirit Dragon are that I can get back Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and Dragonlord Ojutai if they die.I had nullify in the deck until I put in Ojutai Command which do the same thing. I think I might put a Pearl Lake Ancient for the control match-up. Thanks for the advice CanadianShinobi.

Yes I know why the Havens are there. But having 4 of them is overkill. At most I would run 2. To briefly comment on the sideboard and to be completely frank, it's something of a mess. Have that many variety of singletons that have minimal impact is perplexing and really you're better off with Esper Control if you want to play Silugmar. If you provide a break down of your meta game I could give you adequate feedback.

7 G/W Devotion

All aggro decks can be lumped together. As such what I have listed is what you should focus on for a sideboard. A sideboard can't anticipate everything, so you need to anticipate what you're most likely to run into.

So your sideboard should handle mostly aggro and the above mentioned decks. Of all the match ups GW Devotion is the biggest challenge because it can nullify your wraths. In that case you'll need more counter spells to handle being overwhelmed. Iwould sideboard 3-4 Nullify or Negate in that case. Glare of Heresy should also be in the sideboard as a 2-3 of since the majority of your meta runs white. Possibly another End Hostilities and maybe some Nyx-Fleece Rams for the aggro games.

CanadianShinobi now do you understand Silumgar, the Drifting Death in the sideboard.

March 15, 2015 9:13 p.m.

No, because it's utterly inefficient as a one of. Better to have more copies of something that do something productive than to have a singleton that has little to no impact and may not show up.

Don't you think that negates are bad when you have Narset Transcendent in your deck

March 15, 2015 9:18 p.m.

How is that remotely relevant? You'll have to expand on that because my immediate reaction is no, because Narset is a card advantage machine. Why use her -2 all the time when he +1 is better for control decks?

I mean her ultimate CanadianShinobi.

March 15, 2015 9:30 p.m.

Why would you ever ult her unless in a control mirror?
