Ojutai's Will (DTK Esper Control) (Standard MTG Deck)

Starting to get the hang of the deck. Moved up to 2 Haven of the Spirit Dragon mainboard. This adds a huge amount of extra security. Adding the Perilous Vault and Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver were also splendid choices. Vault answers T2 Mastery of the Unseens that get under Scorns, and Ashiok makes almost every matchup better.

I tied G/W devotion. Won the first by getting Ashiok out T3 and then just killing what was a threat and killing them with their own creatures. Having a courser on the field is one of the best feelings in the world. Game 2 went to turns, but he was able to kill me on T3. He had a T2 Mastery of the Unseen I was just not able to answer.

Match 2 was Esper Planeswalker control. He was unfortunately mana screwed Game 1 and I was just able to get down Ojutai and win. Game 2, he milled me out with Ashiok. Game 3, we went to turns, but he ended up conceding to give one of us the win. It looked like my win in either case.

Match 3 against the Mirror Match. Mostly waited until he threw something down, then just kept his stuff off the field. Saved counters for his Digs. He was able to get an Ugin, the Spirit Dragon out, but I stole it two turns later with Silumgar and got the win. He ended up having to leave, so we were unable to finish, but a very good game never the less.

Match 4 was against Mardu aggro/control mixup. Seemed like a lot of fun. He got out 2 Outpost Sieges T4 and T5 and from there it was a losing battle. I almost milled him out, but needed a couple of turns I didn't have. Game 2 was again, very close, but he had the answers he needed at the times he needed them. Need some practice with this matchup, and then I think it will be in my favor.
