Maybe black instead of red for Bitterblossom , now it's back online?

I'll think about that Infral, I'm not fond of the two cmc for See Beyond , so I'll take a look at the one cmc ones. However it has been so long that I forgot most of the things.

Holy crap thuzra, you are right! I can so totally change this deck up to have black instead of red. I'll change the deck in a while, once I got the cards all sorted out.

The thing is with See Beyond is that you'll be able to shuffle a card from your hand into the library, could be any of your biggies if you drew 'em too early and the "draw 2" also helps digging into the deck after whatever you need. Would be annoying as hell if you accidentally drew both of your Eldrazi early on and had no way to put 'em back into the deck for Polymorph ing fun.

Take out Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre and just put another Emrakul in. You don't get the "cast" trigger from Ulamag so it's essentially just a weaker Emrakul. At least trade it for Progenitus , something that doesn't die to Path to Exile OR Fiend Hunter

hmm, the exiling thing I didn't see. I mainly used Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre because of my ability to hard cast him actually came up quite frequently. I also used him in tangent to Emrakul, the Aeons Torn because this deck would be really weak to Nevermore .

I also don't like Progenitus . I can't hard cast him, he can easily be blocked, and has no annihilator which makes the eldrazi really powerful even when blocked.

So here is what I'll do miloguy. I'll put Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre in my sideboard by taking out one Boseiju, Who Shelters All . Then I'll up my Emrakul, the Aeons Torn by two.

This deck may change even more drastically once I change it to esper with Bitterblossom . But that is WHEN I get to doing that. So much other stuff to do ...

Um, Progenitus can't be blocked? He has pro-everything. I understand the hard-casting qualm about using him, but being blocked is no.

Looking good! This has changed a lot, and it looks like so much fun to play. 'Tis a shame I can +1 only once.

(also wow, special-thanks-fame! I am unworthy)

I've been playing with this set and it's excellent. The sideboard is so effective with Intangible Virtue . It really kept me going when I was starved for mana. The Lingering Souls is so good I wish I could fit the card in the mainboard.

Femme_Fatale says... #13

Yeah, you kinda don't have much room for sticking sideboard cards into the mainboard as you deem fit. The mainboard has been practically perfected to an art, and it only took me like, an hour in terms of number juggling to get it down right. It just worked, right from the get-go.

Griselbrand seems like an awesome inclusion to me. Just another great target to hit with your Polymorph affects.

August 12, 2014 11:09 p.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #15

Griselbrand is a more legacy reanimation target and a glass cannon card, TheGamer. The pay 7 draw 7 is for getting that card name I can't remember that basically allows an additional attack phase by discarding 2 red cards instead of paying . It is currently much to slow to be used effectively, and is easily removed. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn , however, generally means I win if I swing, and is much more difficult to kill. I also like him because they are PERFECT Liliana of the Veil targets. Free discard and shuffle!

O, ok. That makes a lot of sense. Griselbrand is usually used with Fury of the Horde and nothing else. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

Is Omniscience a creature boogiebunny? Did you even bother to take a look at the deck or description at all? Are you really that lazy?

August 13, 2014 8:09 a.m.

boogiebunny says... #19

Femme_Fatale i'm just saying that Show and Tell ing about your Omniscience is also a great way to bring gigantic creatures that costs a lot into play even cheaper!

August 13, 2014 8:29 a.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #20

Right ... I don't even HAVE Show and Tell in this deck-list boogiebunny.

This is modern boogiebunny. Anything before 8th edition isn't legal in modern. This deck title has "Show and Tell" in it because it follows the same premise as a legacy Show and Tell deck with Polymorph and Proteus Staff

MirrodinMan says... #24

This is a very interesting build +1 for sure. I'm just wondering how consistant it is? I'm just getting into modern myself running affinity and I'm pretty sure you control would drive me nuts. With modern being a turn 4 format, sometimes even turn 3 is your control consistant enough to keep you alive? How does it do vs affinity or birthing pod decks?

August 14, 2014 2:58 a.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #25

The first thing you have to think about MirrodinMan is how often is modern REALLY a turn 4 format? That is something called, goldfishing. Or putting your deck up for solitaire. Basically, you are facing an opponent who does nothing but have 20 life. That is where the 4 turn format comes from, because combo, aggro, tempo and many of the aggresive all out decks must win by that turn when in a test with no resistance. Any sooner and it gets banned. Any later and you'll be having difficulties.

Games with this can end anywhere on turn 5-8 if I'm going aggressive in a real match, or last till turn 20 if I really have to control. It is important to note that control and midrange and slower tempo decks don't have this turn 4 goldfish rule, because they are meant to draw out the game for a long time.

As for an affinity match, I would put in my Lingering Souls , Intangible Virtue s and Disenchant s. As for what I would take out, Remand and Slaughter Pact , and then one Spell Snare , all go. I would focus on removing Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas with discards, and use my Mana Leak s and Liliana of the Veil against Etched Champion . My tokens would keep my life up, and Timely Reinforcements would prove its worth time and again.

Against Pod, Disenchant is definitely going in. So is Sadistic Sacrament , Aven Mindcensor and Relic of Progenitus . The relic prevents Melira, Sylvok Outcast infinite combos, Aven Mindcensor to shut down their mana base a bit, and prevent Birthing Pod from proc'ing properly. Disenchant to obviously remove Birthing Pod , and Sadistic Sacrament to remove Birthing Pod from their decks, along with any other infinite combo creatures. Most of my counterspells will be sacrificed for these cards. Though my Mana Leak s would stay in, and I'd remove either one Eldrazi or one Lili.

That is what I would do. I hope that helps with how my games match up. Against aggro builds, you put in the tokens. Against combo builds you put in the disruption. Against really heavy control builds, Sadistic Sacrament is the only thing I'd use to remove their win-con.
