If I really wanted to do an EOT play, Raise the Alarm would be my choice. But currently, there are no wraths in the format so I do not need to do an eot play, and instead chose what I have to make my deck more resilient against the meta.

What's your local meta like?

Femme_Fatale says... #3

I don't know. I don't have time to play locally.

Any thoughts on Inkmoth Nexus or Blinkmoth Nexus as cheaper activated Tarpits?

Femme_Fatale says... #5

Cool. I'll do some testing alexyoung. It'd have to be Blinkmoth Nexus since I'm winning by damage if Polymorph isn't plausible.

What about Sorin, Solemn Visitor or Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver? Both can get you fodder for the staff or poly, but both can take over on their own as well. Sorin plays great with tokens too.

More token sources, man lands, something. And maybe Peer Through Depths as a singleton to increase Polymorph's draw consistency.

"Um ... this is my Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, and he annihilates stuff."

maybe you would like to know Emmy is considered to be female because of Emeria haha (See Vestige of Emrakul )

Don't need any of those Happymaster19. I have 10 noncreature creature sources in the main, and 3 more in the side, and 6 Polymorph abilities in the main as well. It is really consistent at what it can do, even more so than Twin, its just that everything I have is boltable, which is what makes it weaker. That and I don't have bolt myself.

I wouldn't play any of those PirateToast. I'd play Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, because he is an alternate win con, and is also a 5/5 4 cmc indestructible creature. He is so awesome in control.

Need to make changes.

New changes are in! Critique welcomed, though I'll debate against you :p

Why only one Eldrazi! Why don't you add in some more Eldrazi to join the killing game? Umalog, The Ceaseless Hunger, etc.

Also, could you make a budget version of this deck?!

I know you have lilly for shuffling Emrakul back in, but it might help to have another backup, perhaps See Beyond maybe as a one or two-of? I guess the card draw would be nice...

Boseiju, Who Shelters All doesn't look necessary in main. You already lose a lot of life because of shocks/fetches, and there are far more aggro decks out there than control decks. Not to mention that it comes in tapped and only produces colorless, which is rough for a three color deck. Yes, I know, you have Timely Reinforcements in main, but burn has a LOT of life prevention at the moment. I would try another Creeping Tar Pit.

Also, just a little sideboard change, take out the Ghost Quarter for another Stony Silence, one more Lingering Souls, and perhaps another Timely. Tron should be a great matchup because you're faster than them and they have little to no interaction, and besides, colorless mana hurts a LOT. Your worst matchups will likely be aggro, so prepare for those more.

Tron is actually a bad match-up FAMOUSWATERMELON. Tokens loses to tron so that matchup is screwy. Tron can kill emrakul REALLY easily. They run 7-9 mainboard cards that get rid of it. Oh, and because I can't run Spellskite, Ghost Quarter helps against infect.

As for Boseiju, Who Shelters All, I'll probably get rid of it yes. For a Shambling Vent however.

Raz0r_, only one eldrazi is needed. I used to run two, but I wanted Gideon in here so I removed one. The sideboard also had more, but I removed Kozilek because I needed more sideboard space to deal with the much more diverse meta we are in.

I'm actually considering Progenitus so that I have a greater resilience against Tron.

December 3, 2015 10:15 p.m.

Even if Tron is really a bad matchup, don't use colorless lands to fight it. The main threats that Tron has against you are Karn and O-Stone, which can both be neutered with Pithing Needle. I think that we can agree that all you'll need is a single Spaghettis swing, so all you have to do until then is stall and shut down the trouble cards, which you can do with the Needle and your countermagic. So maybe try two needles and one more Stony Silence instead of the GQ? Not to mention that Needle can also help against a number of decks.

Progenitus is also an idea, but it doesn't do anything against Oblivion Stone, which definitely hurts. I think that you're safer with the above plan. As for infect, you already have a lot of spot removal and possible chumps, so I don't think that that's a huge problem.

Thing is, colourless lands don't hurt this deck all that much FAMOUSWATERMELON. Only 5 cards have double coloured mana, and they aren't very important against Tron. Also, what other decks does Pithing Needle help with that I'm not already good against?

I'll do some more playtests within the week and see what those results bring.

Raz0r_, a budget version of this deck was made a long time ago, with the creation of this one. I just did some updates to it.

Just wanna point out that "Indestructible" targets, i.e. Gideon, are still valid targets and can be Polymorhed...you get the Emrakul, and still get to keep Gideon in play.

The thing about Suppression Field: most of the time, Tron will get their O-Stone or Karn out before you can get Spaghettis on the field, and at that point, the Field will be completely useless because they're Tron and they can pay the cost everytime. I don't like Pithing Needle either, but I can't see a better solution at the moment. GQ can slow them down, but it means that from the moment that they get a Karn or Stone on the field, they've basically auto-won. I think you need a way to deal with those threats instead of attacking the manabase.

Honestly, I'm at a bit of a loss. If you're really that set on attacking the landbase though, perhaps consider Spreading Seas. But I think that that won't help the problem much. I'll do a bit of research and see what I can find, but I don't have a definitive answer right now.

Not that it's the biggest worry of the deck but Polymorphing into Emrakul, the Aeons Torn means no extra turn.
