This is an old frame only variant of typical "Arcades walls" EDH decks. As old frame variants of newer cards have been released, I've gradually added to it, and it can compete with decks built using new frame cards. Since all my decks are built with real cards, many of the more expensive old frame staples are missing. I welcome any suggestions for revision, so long as the required cards won't break the bank (the dual lands are proxies).

Notes:

  • I've excluded any old frame walls with more than 2 power to maximize the utility of meekstone.
  • I've also excluded any walls I felt were underpowered or didn't synergize as well as other walls do
  • At times, I struggle to get enough blue mana, so I might add another island or two...not sure what to swap out though
  • Yes, I know Shield Sphere is terrible, but with Arcades's effect, a 6/6 for 0 still seems worth it despite its blocking "shrinkage"
  • The deck lacks artifact ramp in favor of making room for more walls, removal, etc., since the walls are all very cheap to cast
  • Copy Enchantment works well in this deck, considering the powerhouse enchantments available in Bant.
