This deck's purpose seems a little confused. There are a bunch of mill cards when mill is typically pretty bad for EDH, and yet it isn't dedicated enough to mill to warrant it just being a mill deck.

Yes, it isn't exactly focused. I am moving towards playing it in this form quite slowly (not really big funds I can spend on just buying cards right now) and, to be fair, last time I played it was more similar to the original Oloro deck than to this. I want to toy with the game and with the mechanics; find ways to exploit different effects and explore the possibilities of unpredicted combos.

Also, EDH isn't a competitive format. It's a casual format and, as with every casual format, the main point of playing it is to have fun. If a player threatens to play a combo that would normally be impossible to pull off, like almost dealing 72 damage to every opponent by sacrificing a hell of a pumped Gyre Sage to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord , then the game was good. If a player wins immediately and no-one can really compete with him, the game is bad.

Sure a deck should have a focus, but "Esper deck that tries to keep control by gaining life, drawing cards and milling" is a kind of a focus too. Also note that I do not yet actually own about 1/3rd of the cards in the decklist. It will take me some time to get them all. This is a kind of an ever-changing idea about what I want to play.

Also; keep in mind that I've put some of other mill cards, or some other lifegain cards, or yet different cards in the maybeboard. Some of them were originally in the main deck, but got removed not because they did not fit the deck, but because there are many situations where drawing and playing it might be unanswerable, and while everybody wants to win, it makes EDH matches less interesting. I feel like the best EDH games of the very few I played to date were the ones where everyone except maybe one player of usually four died early, and the rest just kept building more and more things on the battlefield, up to the point where not ending the game was no longer possible - which situation often resulted in ridiculous (and hence, really fun) outcomes.

Looks like fun! I would suggest Library of Leng , Whispering Madness , Windfall , and Jace's Archivist . Those are pretty fun in the similar deck I have, What is this "Top decking" you speak of?.

I would cut Plague Wind for an In Garruk's Wake, since killing Walkers is a good upside for the same cost. Honestly, I don't think regen is that big of an issue most of the time.
