Thanks! Glad you liked it. Oloro has been my main deck since the release of the precon. There are a ton of different ways to build it. You can check out the other Oloro build #SorryNotSorry for a more staxy build than mine with a focus on enchantments.

Hello Ninja! I play in a playgroup where things like infinite loops, mass land destruction, and counters are a no-go. I really like the feel of your deck, and while I've reviewed your budget suggestions, any ideas on what to replace your instant win options and counter spells with?

Control is fine in our group, but we are casual enough that shutting down plays with counters seems to just ruin the fun for everyone. Stax, given that we also play more on a budget, isn't that oppressive in our games, so it's fine.

Hi Boki92! I personally wouldn't take this deck to a more casual setting, so it would be a good call removing some of those things. If you wanted to play a version of this by taking out some on the instant win combo's, you can lean more into the lifegain aspect and drain your opponent's like that. Cards like Cliffhaven Vampire and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose can help achieve that goal. Some more reanimation cards could also benefit it, maybe adding Sun Titan back in to recur low cmc cards. If countering spells is frowned upon, you can add more creature/artifact/enchantment removal if you want to keep the control aspect. You can definitely play around with the list by taking out the cards your group finds problematic and see what cards you like as replacements.

Appreciate the quick response, I will play with the list and make changes where needed.

All in all, great deck and write up!

Hi blpace!. As far as Midnight Hunt goes, not really. Still looking through Crimson Vow for cards right now. I like Markov Purifier at first glace, we will see once I have time to really look through it.

Hi ThatWeirdPerson! Thanks for commenting on my deck! While it is a nice win card, you have to have it stick around until your next upkeep. I don't have any extra turn cards or flash enablers. So, for that reason, it is to slow for this deck.

How does queza run in the deck? What combos do you use it for?

Hi wideline1414! Right now, I am trying it out. It does have a few synergies with my Commander and a few cards in the deck. If I were to add back in Drogskol Reaver it would cause an infinite loop that would deck myself. If I had Jace, Wielder of Mysteries out at that time, it would be an instant win most likely. I don't know if Queza will stay in at this moment, just trying it out for now.

Archivist of Oghma looks like a good addition from Battle for Baldur's Gate.

How well does oghma perform in the deck?

I honestly haven't received it in the mail yet to try it. So, as of now, I don't have an answer just yet :)

Do you think you will find a spot in the deck for imperial seal?

Hi wideline1414! I honestly don't know if I want it in here. It is a socery speed Vampiric Tutor at best. At worst it makes you a target after cast. So, I am leaning towards not putting it in the deck.

Oh I totally agree. Just the hype of the reprint, I was curious.

This deck has remained as is for the time being. As far as new cards, I haven't seen anything that I have felt needs to be added in. I am always looking to make improvements though. Thanks!

Ocelot has been performing well, same with the Planeswalkers.
