Yo, where is your Breathstealer's Crypt ?

Energy Field is a combo wwith Rest in Peace. ALso your deck does not use the graveyard much, so including Rest in Peace along with Enlightened Tutor would shut down a lot of decks. RiP kills a lot of strategies.

I can't run Rest in Peace in this deck. The main combo is to return Temporal Manipulation to my library from the graveyard with Soldevi Digger for my infinite turn combo. Also, running Breathstealer's Crypt isn't effective for this deck in particular. They will always pay 3 life to be able to use their good creatures. I don't care what their life total is because that's not this deck's win condition. I would run Breathstealer's Crypt in a different variation of this deck though. Thank you for the feedback!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this, but a white black blue deck is an esper deck. Not that important just wanted you to know.

I'm aware. This deck is tagged as Esper. Thank you

Okay, it's just cause in the name it says white black blue.

I purposefully had the name say white black blue so it would be easier to search and so that people who were newer to magic (that might not be familiar with the term Esper) could find it easier. I think more people should do this honestly.

Now that I think that over that's actually a really good idea!

You could replace Temporal Manipulation with Nexus of Fate and then you don't need the soldevi Digger part of the combo. Then you can use Doomsday to make a deck of just Nexus of Fate.

How do you have Energy field but not Rest in Peace? RIP also combos with Helm of Obedience to kill a player. RIP in this combo can used with Leyline of the Void. Either card also hoses graveyard based decks.

Nexus of fate is too much mana. Also, Soldevi Digger allows me to get back more cards than just Temporal Manipulation. As I've said here in the comments before, running rest in peace isn't an option for this deck. I need my graveyard. I've considered running Leyline of the Void before but I don't think it's necessary. This deck is all about pulling out the infinite turn combo as fast as possible and on as few of mana as possible. Helm of Obedience is a good card but I wouldn't run it in this particular deck. Doomsday can lose you the game so no thanks. I appreciate the feedback!

Man, if I only owned a Tabernacle this would be the deck to play...

Also, Energy Field seems so much better with Rest in Peace

BUt I totally see your reasoning not to include it

After the last updates I've made to this deck, it drastically improved. Winning off of Approach of the Second Sun in just a few turns is funny. I was lucky that I got my Tabernacle for $40 back in 1999 at a card shop in Hawaii. Same with my Moat and Forcefield. I bought all three together at the same time for $120. Best money I ever spent.

Your deck is cool but why not more boardwipes?

Have you checked out my deck #SorryNotSorry? We both run similar strategies.

Best of luck in making people quit magic!

I used to run more board wipes in the earliest version of this deck. All it did was slow down my win condition. I found it far more efficient to just quickly speed to my win condition while keeping people from harming me and countering their removal. I checked your deck out and you seem to have a lot more removal and card draw. It seems to me that your deck's win condition is very slow. I used to run some of the same cards as you but I removed those to speed up my win conditions (mainly Approach of the Second Sun). I can easily win anywhere between turns 6-9. Cutting certain cards was necessary to make this happen. Your deck's strategy is definitely fun and similar to mine. However, we have different win conditions and my version facilitates a faster win condition. The longer games go on, the more you have to rely on board wipes. The best way to avoid having to remove a lot of things is to speed up your own win condition. The best defense is a good offense sometimes. Thank you for the feedback and for recommending me look at your version. I gave it an upvote. I've already had friends ban my deck from our play group lol. Hopefully you will as well!

This looks brutal.

What are your thoughts on Collective Restraint and Humility? Looking at your list that was the only upgrade I could think of for the strategy.

I quit trying to play with Humility. I got tired of all the arguments about what was affected and what wasn't. It's a card that normally would be in the deck but I got tired of dealing with the rule headaches when playing with friends. If I was running basic lands, I would definitely run Collective Restraint. Thanks for the feedback!

Absorb over Negate for the Oloro trigger.

I'm trying to only use counter spells that cost 2 mana or less. Thanks for the feedback!

June 5, 2022 9:28 p.m.

haha ok. Well then at the very least Dovin's Veto is an upgrade. Your deck inspired me to build my own creatureless version. Last suggestions:

Karmic Justice 100% protection

Tainted AEther no staxation without representation.

Paradox Haze double Oloro

Alhammarret's Archive double Oloro

Sweet! Glad you drew some inspiration! I don't run counterspells that are 2 different colored mana (or more). Also, Karmic Justice and Tainted Aether were cards I tried in this deck a long time ago and they just seemed to be filler cards and people were still going to destroy my important permanents regardless. I also use to run No Mercy in this deck but removed it for the same reasons. Moat (and similar cards) along with counterspells are just better in my opinion. Paradox Haze and Alhammaret's Archive aren't something I would run in this version of the deck. Oloro is strictly just to keep me alive long enough to get my win condition combo off. You could run those if you wanted to run Aetherflux Reservoir as a win condition though. I appreciate the feedback! If you do build a creatureless version, feel free to post it here so I can take a look. I always enjoy seeing other people's perspectives.
