Love your descriptions. I've been fiddling around with Oloro at home and you gave me some fun new ideas. I recommend Righteous Aura if you can get your hands on one. It should help you keep commander damage away until you combo off.

asidos Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely look into it the next time I swing by my card shop!

Looks like a fun list. I would recommend cutting the bounce lands though in place of at least the checks (Isolated Chapel, Glacial Fortress and Drowned Catacomb). A Tectonic Edge is also worthwhile.

enpc: I've been meaning to get myself those lands, but I just haven't gotten to doing so. I like the bounce lands; since I have a serious lack of strong mana rocks in a deck, they help me play my expensive spells. I'd probably use the checks in place of slower lands like the Azorius Guildgate and Rupture Spire

I guess its not as important for a deck that doesn't run as much low end ramp. I just don't like the tempo disruption they create. Also, they are VERY Strip Mineable :P

I used to run an insane Oloro pillow fort deck. I found these cards to be pretty fun:

Blazing Archon with Dovescape

Sphere of Safety with Enchanted Evening

Pariah with Stuffy Doll, or any indestructible creature (including an opponent's god, for instance)

Peacekeeper

Angelic Arbiter

Halls of Mist

Arena of the Ancients

Also, Oloro craves Necropotence.

((Thank you very much for the suggestions! I definitely want to add Necropotence, but I think that cards like Blazing Archon are a bit too costly in terms of CMC, and Dovescape could do me more harm than good since my meta sees a lot of Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury. I like Peacekeeper, especially for its CMC, so I'll try and see if I find one. Once again, thank you for your suggestions!))

Sorry, in my translation, I meant to say:

((... a bit to costly in terms of CMC, but I think Dovescape could give me a lot of trouble with some of my crucial combos (but I'll probably give it a try anyways). Enchanted Evening would be funny, but could be more harm than good since my meta sees a lot of Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury...))

Gracias por el traduccion!

Todo suena mejor en espanol.

Even on its own, Dovescape turns a pillow fort deck into pure chaos. It is basically nullifies a win con, making the game devolve into a bird fight. With you playing the pillow fort, this usually makes it a bird fight between your opponents. With something like Peacekeeper, it just becomes pure absurdity. Is it silly and infuriating? Absolutely. Does it win you the game? Maybe not, though it becomes a lot harder for you to lose.

Enchanted Evening is definitely problematic against Freyalise, but it also becomes problematic for everyone else. Remember that your opponents may very well have permanents that Frey will want to smash too. Suddenly nobody is going to want to play Back to Nature or Nevinyrral's Disk, and if they do, you probably don't want them in your playgroup anyway.

As for the cmc on Blazing Archon, it is steep. But it can be insanely fun.

Also, since you are going Necropotence, might I suggest Solitary Confinement? You can use Plea for Guidance to tutor for that combo, or your Exquisite/Bond.

questioned: I've looked into it, but I have Ghostly Prison in its place, and a second one might not be so handy. I'm currently looking into Solitary Confinement though.

I love Solitary Confinement as long as you can keep ways to draw cards on a constant. I recently took out Magus of the Moat. its a really good card also, its a lot cheaper than Moat but if you have the budget....

questioned: Once you go Necropotence + Solitary Confinement , you don't go back.

I think you could use some more pillowfort stuffs, because you dont really seem to have much at the moment. Like 3 pillowfort cards really, archangel of tithes, teysa, and ghostly prison.

If you are looking for more pillowfort cards check this out: Oloro, the Lazy Giant and His Fortress

RoarMaster: I also recently put in Aurification, and I'm looking to get Necropotence and Solitary Confinement. What kinda cards would you recommend though?

After looking at your deck, I was intrigued by Collective Restraint, Dissipation Field, Kor Haven, Paradox Haze, Patron of the Kitsune, and Mystic Barrier. Karmic Justice, Martyr's Bond, Mystifying Maze, and Propaganda were all cards I was already looking around for.

Id say take No Mercy over Dissipation Field if it came down to it, although both are good. Dread is the more aggro version. Glacial Chasm is invaluable for allowing you to stabilize if you are ever being put in a rough position. Sphere of Safety is backbreaking to push through, and although your list is a little light on enchantments right now, it will be perfect once you get those other cards you mentioned you were looking for.

Would you consider Auriok Champion?

August 26, 2015 4:24 p.m.

BowB4Me2 says... #23

I think that mainboard you should consider Serra Ascendant And that's how you make your deck more aggressive.

I would also consider more enchantment destruction now that Tainted Remedy is about. Aura Blast, Cursebreak, Demystify, Disenchant, Esper Charm, Serene Offering, Solemn Offering are some I could find that also benefit your life gaining/card drawing somewhat.

Also, not saying ALL should be added, just saying, some more destruction generally equals more safety.

Above you have put "Profound Journey/Sheoldred, Whispering One: Both of these serve to reanimate our graveyard. Can win us the game if used to bring back Test of Endurance or Felidar Sovereign during our upkeep."

Just to say that actually isn't possible, as I asked the question myself a while ago on StackExchange: Felidar and Sheoldred interaction
