I read up on Lifeline, it looks like you'd have to take it out before damage was dealt for their creatures (or lands in this case) to not come back. Sorry for any misinformation, it is still an awesome card.

Thank you for the comments; If you take a second look, Soul of the Harvest is actually in the deck already, along with Primordial Sage , because you can never have enough draw engines. And as much as I love Lifeline , I don't want to run it simply because my opponents can get creatures back as well, and while I don't run mass removal, I prefer to trample over their creatures and keep them dead.

Oh wow, I can't believe I missed that, sorry. The lifeline thing is definitely not for everyone, some decks do run better without it. Good luck with constantly improving your deck!

+1 just for the creative use on the commander's ability. I NEVER thought of using him that way and changes my whole view on him completely.

Thank you. I need to update my list of combos for kamahl. There's another great one if I have Defense of the Heart out, I can use kamahl to turn opponents lands into creatures to activate the triggered ability which is awesome if I'm slow out the gate.

Kamahl went from low-tier to freakin' awesome to me. XD

Nice. I'm glad to hear it. He's been my favorite legend since I first pulled out of a pack back in the day.

Ever thought about running Omnath Locus of Mana? You can store mana until needed or make things huge with kahmal.

I am intentionally not running him. I know it sounds stupid, but I know I'll become overly dependent on it. And on a personal level, everyone told me when i started building the deck that you have to use omnath to build a good green deck. I want to prove them wrong. So far I have, it does really well in my playgroup and at my lgs, and I've destroyed every omnath deck I've faced.
So yeah, not good reasons for not including him but that's why. Lol

Love this deck! Thank you for such a comprehensive write, up, it helps a lot!
I am new to mono green edh and just finished my own brew. Hope you will take a look and give me some pointers :-)

I did and made a comment. Nissa is a great choice, love the deck.

You get a +1 from me just for the devotion/courage/money of having all possible foils cards within your deck.
(And for the fact it looks awesome to play!)

Thank you. It's taken a long time and luck to get them all. Battle for zendikar is probably biggest help, it dropped the price for art foils by half.

I think you might be right about that. Thank you for the suggestion

Kalonian Hydra Protean Hulk and Mirri's Guile and maybe Cultivator of Blades Doubling Season Primal Vigor and Parallel Lives
July 1, 2017 10 p.m.
Thank you for the input. I'm looking at replacing Wild Pair and both Protean Hulk and Cultivator of Blades are on the list of possible replacements. Mirri's Guile I will have to play test with and see if it's worth throwing in. The other suggestions are a no go. My deck doesn't do anything with counters whatsoever so adding support for it makes no sense and tokens is a small strategy that I'm not dependent on, so bulking up my minimal token generation would take away from more important areas of the deck.

Kamerot it helped with Vigor and two others who got counters spastically but i see what you are saying Heartbeat of Spring and Khalni Hydra
July 1, 2017 10:38 p.m.
didn't finish the sentence my b they would be good additions if you want a tiny bit more ramp
July 1, 2017 10:40 p.m.
Ah yes, Vigor, i spaced about him giving counters, it's been a long day . I actually run it purely for defense, especially against burn. Heartbeat of Spring is a great card but I don't want to use it, since it benefits all players and being mono green I need to take every advantage I can with mana generation without giving it to my opponents. And I love Khalni Hydra because of the devotion it gives, I just don't know what i would take out and finding a foil one has proven to be tough. Lol. Thanks again for all the great input.

Saw the link to your deck in the 'lifespan of an EDH deck' thread. I was wondering if Soul of the Harvest might be a better card than Primordial Sage. It's a bigger body, and it works with anytime stuff comes out of your graveyard. It doesn't draw if your creature is countered, but the frequency of that is probably not that high to make a difference. Also, I would consider looking at the card Lifeline. It's got some really great effects with ETB effects, and if you pull off your Kamahl trick turning all of their lands into creatures, they might block more confidently with their lands, expecting to get them back. In that scenario, you have until the end of turn to destroy Lifeline, really screwing them over.
