i got a few suggestions for you.

Bow of Nylea by giving your creatures Deathtouch only 1 damage is needed to kill creatures and the rest will go over if they have trample. (which is most likely)

Slime Molding an easy 10/10 creature token with all that ramp.

Hydra Broodmaster a pump and a token spitter at the same time.

Heroes' Bane will get bigger every time you pump him with mana.

Scourge of Skola Vale eat your other creatures to make him bigger. plus starts with trample.

Breaker of Armies force all of your opponents creatures to block him and him only while everyone else goes through.

Archetype of Endurance gives everyone hexproof and shuts up any other deck that uses hexproof.

Thank you for the suggestions ticked-off-squirrel.

  • Bow of Nylea - I've considered putting this in the deck for awhile now, I'm testing out a couple of newer cards in the same cmc spot first, but it will eventually find a home.
  • Slime Molding - this card doesn't fit the strategy of the deck. I have to dump a lot of mana into a sorcery to get a token that does nothing but provide a big body. Which isn't needed with my commander since I can make all of my creatures have big bodies.
  • Hydra Broodmaster/Heroes' Bane - I've never been a fan of hydras for this deck, they take a lot of mana to make them viable which takes away from my primary game plan. I don't need 1 or 2 big creatures that cost a lot of mana to make, when I can just use that mana to kill everyone with my elves and utility creatures.
  • Scourge of Skola Vale - I'm not built to sacrifice my creatures sustainably and want to avoid it at all costs, however this card will be amazing in a Kresh the Bloodbraided deck I'm working on, so thank you for the suggestion.
  • Breaker of Armies - I don't run eldrazi in this deck and never will. And Nacatl War-Pride provides the same advantage while making it easier to provide lethal damage when buffed by Kamahl.
  • Archetype of Endurance - I'm on the fence with this card because of the cmc, I really don't want to add another super high cost card into the deck, but i can't deny what he could bring for survivability, so I'm gonna have to playtest and see what I can come up with.

Thanks again for the suggestions

Maybe Natural Order? Seems like a broken card

It is, and I've considered putting it in the deck for a long time. I just don't know what I would take out for it.

Primalcrux just seems like a big creature with trample that can be removed with nearly anything but not strong enough to end games. This was a problem I found in my ramp-stomp type decks. I am glad to see that this deck has a better gameplan then mine

Yeah, except his value comes from the devotion he adds from his casting cost. I gain a lot of mana from Karametra's Acolyte and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. He also pairs extremely well with Selvala, Heart of the Wilds for huge mana gains. It's been my main go to from Defense of the Heart and been unstoppable, especially early game. But I'm still considering taking him out because he doesn't add any other value by himself.

Oh I see! Makes sense. How about Tajuru Preserver. Seems like a lot of the time it is useless for the slot it takes up. Also running a Llanowar Elves would be good too because those one mana dorks are too good.

My playgroup run a lot of decks that run Grave Pact and similar effects, so unfortunately he's viable almost every game I play. Otherwise I never would have added him. As for Llanowar Elves, I run Elvish Mystic and Fyndhorn Elves instead because I like the art better. Lol

Helo, nice deck!
Have you thought about running Rings of Brighthearth? Will combo with Kamahl, Mimic Vat, both Planeswalkers and you would be able to get infinite mana with Deserted Temple untaping Itlimoc, Gaea's Cradle or Nykthos.

I have not, but I might consider it. I'll have to playtest it and see how it works. Thanks for the suggestion!

Like the deck! Have you thought about running a land like Winding Canyons, which would allow you to play creatures at instant speed? Maybe even Vedalken Orrery? Playing creatures EOT at opponents end step might help keep them off the board (less vulnerable) and you won't need hast effects so much.

I'm actually looking at finding a slot for Yeva, Nature's Herald , she will give me another combo to grab with Defense of the Heart along with Seedborn Muse. I might have to add a slot in for Winding Canyons as well. Thanks for the suggestion.

Also notice you're really light on flying. Could you use something handy like Hornet Queen? She produces value and they all have deathtouch...something to discourage all the dragons, demons, and angels that terrorize a deck low to the ground like yours.

Within my playgroup it hasn't been a real issue, a buddy of mine has an angel tribal deck that's troublesome, but only because he uses Linvala, Keeper of Silence as the commander. I ramp harder than any of the decks that use a lot of flying and take them out first. But I'll play around with hornet queen and see. Thanks again.

How much would this deck be without foils XD

March 12, 2018 2:01 a.m.

Kamerot says... #18

Probably $500-$700 with Gaea's Cradle, most of the nonfoil versions of cards are dirt cheap, but the foil is ridiculous. It may even be cheaper to make, I will get back to you tomorrow with solid figures if you really want to know.

Nah its ok i was just wondering how much would be deducted thanks for your reply thoguh Have a nice day

Kamerot says... #20

Scentaurt I know you said don't worry about it, but you got me curious, lol. Without Gaea's Cradle, card kingdom prices would be about $585 for the nonfoil version, and about $915 with. This doesnt include basics because you can get those in bulk for practically nothing if you dont already have them. There are lots of alternative cards that can cut the price though. But the prices I listed are card for card.

Cream of the Crop does some serious draw filtering here.

I do like that a lot. I'm gonna have to do some serious playtesting with it. Thanks for the suggestion!

So it seems you don't really have a lot of mill protection besides Praetor's Counsel, I really like the idea of Gaea's Blessing especially if you hit it with Genesis Wave because it shuffles it in. Also I am a fan of Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre or Kozilek, Butcher of Truth as a beater and graveyard recycle.

Kamerot says... #24

My playgroup only has one person who plays mill, and he only uses it as protection and to slow opponents down in his combo deck.

Fair enough. But with a big Green Beater deck like this, it's not Big Green Beater without Tooth and Nail with the OG mirrodin art!
