themindxyz: You sir are a genius! I honestly don't know why this card never came to my mind before!now that I am thinking about it, there are so many scenarios were Blasphemous Act would be fantastic, just like you said. If you are behind, it often cost 1-3 to cast. I just find it hilarious and that I am looking forward to the day that I will boarding myself while I have 20+ elementals in play! All just for .

I think this is going in for Beast Within's spot.

Thoughts?

Also, PLEASE don't forget to upvote!

Ironically, my deck list has been getting hardly any votes ever since I put up the Primer... Is there something wrong with it??

Lazarouslive: I almost forgot! I put together a budget (under $100) deck list for Omnath, Locus of Rage. I was going to post it but I was not sure if anyone would be interested. I can if you want me to!

Personally, I would go with Krosan Grip. Yes it can't be countered, but Beast Within can hit creatures, planeswalkers, even lands if needed. The drawback of giving them a 3/3 isn't as bad as normal, since you would gladly trade your 3/3s for theirs. I just prefer versatility over resilience, but it could easily go either way without it being a wrong choice.

I feel that primers help. The only thing I can think of is that most of the people that are interested in an Omnath commander already saw it before you put up the primer. Or they're like me and completely forget to do so.

themindxyz: You are likely right, but the only thing is that Omnath, Locus of Rage can't burn artifacts and enchantments. I have found myself VERY glad to draw Krosan Grip, while Beast Within always seemed to stay in my hand. I do think it is an AMAZING card, but i think it is the inferior one in this particular deck.

Your totally right about the voting. It was weird though, I was ranked #3 last night, and then I came on an hour later and I was completely off the list. Maybe there is a time limit (I was in the top 25 for a week).

In my opinion Beast Within is better cause it gets anything, lands creatures and walkers ext

Elemental Mastery combo with Descent of the Dragons =wtf so many bolts then an army of dragons

October 17, 2015 6:39 p.m.

VexenX says... #9

Teraxzaryrik: In MY deck, Descent of the Dragons, Evolutionary Leap, or Perilous Forays are the only cards that would make Elemental Mastery go from good to GREAT. I don't think my deck has room for a card that is only conditionally good. But please prove me wrong! I might get the card and play test it in a few week. I still have only played this deck 7 times...

I just wish the cards destroyed the dang tokens, not exiled them...

Its conditionally a game winner. At the least its only good at the beat its a game winner. If you had cards like Ashnod's Altar, Goblin Bombardment, and Altar of Dementia then that is an auto include but your not running those cards so its not an auto include. But its still a power house card in this deck

griffstick: You are exactly right, if I was running more sack-outlets the card would be much more tempting to include in my deck. I don't see me altering my deck to add more outlets, unless it stops performing. I have been thinking about adding Goblin Bombardment.

Goblin Bombardment would be great for this deck.

Also, Dictate of the Twin Gods + Furnace of Rath would be good ways to quickly finish off your opponents.

JimboRich: Dictate of the Twin Gods and Furnace of Rath seem pretty sweet! I almost want to build a SECOND deck that is heavy red, and make it 100% focused on burn. I honestly think it could be pretty good. I honestly don't know if it is a good thing or not that my build is half burn half token overrun. I might end up focusing on one thing after I play test a bit more.

Don't forget to upvote if you like the Primer!

This list looks freaking awesome and I'm glad to hear that it's over performing. I'm working on a very similar list, albeit slightly more budget. I've play tested about 4 games and I'm not entirely sure how to fix it, but the problem is that I either explode and the deck is an absolute monster; being able to take off by turn 4. Or I'm kind of just dead in the water and don't get rolling till turn 7/8ish. Been thinking of adding in more interactive cards like Wild Ricochet and some more draw power like Harmonize and/or Fecundity for some much needed card draw (can't get a hold of Greater Good so I can smooth out my game play.

Any tips or recommendations? Is Greater Good really that good and is absolutely necessary?

VexenX says... #18

Massive_Banana: I might even say that Greater Good is the BEST card in the deck! If it is not removed quickly it means I win the game! It does not just allow me to blowup my elementals at will, but it allows me to dig down 5 cards each time! I played it last week while I had Crucible of Worlds and Exploration in play, so I just discarded lands and then played them all each turn lol. Overall, it is the best 8 bucks you can spend for this deck, and I would include it even on my budget list.

The problem I think a lot of people are having with this deck is playing certain cards because they 'might be good' or 'work really well' in certain situations. The beauty of this deck is that it can go nuts no matter who you face! I played against two control decks and still came out on top. You just need to make them waist there counters or removal, then blow up in there face when they run out of answers.

I don't think cards like Wild Ricochet deserve a spot. I also think I am taking Zendikar's Roil out of my deck. It just doesn't do enough for its cost.

I'm glad you are enjoying the Primer! Don't forget to upvote!

Hey, Primer is looking great! Built myself a very similar list and it has become the commander deck to be feared! I found a land that might interest you Undiscovered Paradise. Repeated landfall is always nice no matter where it's from. Hope it helps! -- Is Skullclamp really that great for the list? It appears to me to require a sac outlet to really shine, and that's not always going to be guaranteed.

VexenX says... #20

Leyden I'll have too consider Undiscovered Paradise, thx for the suggestion! And yes, Skullclamp is great, even if you just put it on a untapped creature to block with. However, with a sack-outlet it goes nuts.

How about adding Ashnod's Altar + Sword of the Paruns + Elemental Mastery. I might be dreaming now asking you to make three changes but this will most certinally win. If anything add one sac outlet.

Thanks for the words VexenX, I'm highly considering on picking up a copy of Crucible of Worlds now, as you said how powerful it can be, man this deck is gonna be one of the biggest EDH commitments for me ever. Don't worry I upvoted, actually wishing I could upvote multiple times haha. Do you think you could take a look at my list whenever you're done with your own personal list? And keep up the amazing work, really digging the overall list and the primer too

griffstick: I just added a Ashnod's Altar so I am not far off! I will keep my eye out for a copy of Elemental Mastery.. some of you are so sure of the card that I have to play test it now! lol

Massive_Banana: I am SO glad that there are viewers like you that are committed to the Primer! Things have sadly started to plateau out a bit when it comes to people up-voting, but people like you make all the work I am putting into this worth it!

OM_RATH is an AMAZING Commander! I am honestly thinking about making multiple versions of him! Tribal, heavy red/burn, green/tokens. My list is a top of the line Primer version of Omnath, Locus of Rage but it is not the only way you can play him as your commander! There are some cards that just fit in any tip of deck he would be in though, like Crucible of Worlds and Greater Good, but if you are on a budget, there are still other routes you can go!

griffstick: This deck is pretty nuts! But best of all it is a ton of fun! There are so many different ways that you can win. I'm really glad you are enjoying it?
