Hey GenericToaster, I’m definitely excited for Ancient Greenwarden. That is an auto include for sure! Thanks for the comment!

Hey there, like the deck! Have you considered cards like mana breach and overburden? Fun way to keep lands in hand and slow down your opponents. If you'd like check out my Omnath LoC deck and give me your thoughts it'd be much appreciated!!

Hey sean360, I had both Mana Breach and Overburden in the initial brew. Through some play testing the two cards were getting too problematic at bouncing too many of my own lands at times. Since I wasn’t planning on adding Patron of the Moon to help sneak them back into play, I decided to replace them with Armageddon and Ravages of War. Though it doesn’t mean I have not kept them both in reconsideration. Thanks for the suggestion, it’s much appreciated!

Oracle of Mul Daya if she's not out of your budget

jasonkrivera, thanks for the suggestion! I decided to keep Oracle of Mul Daya out when I was making cuts and opted to try out Song of Creation and also roll with Mina and Denn, Wildborn instead for 4cmc sneak land cards. Since I am still play testing the deck there is still a good chance she makes it in if I need more land play.

I really like this list! I have Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis landfall deck and am looking to try and add some of the new cards as well into my list.

karl_alfred, thanks for the +1! From what play testing I’ve done so far, I’m really liking the new cards that I included in this brew.

How is song of creation working out for you? I've been playtesting my deck which is pretty similar and it's been loads of fun. I am thinking of adding song of creation but the thought of having to discard at the end of turn makes me wary.

Zuran Orb is a fantastic way to fuel up a massive game breaking scape shift. Thassa, Deep-Dwelling is a free flicker at End step. Roon of the Hidden Realm can allow you to refresh Omnath triggers via other people's turns. Same with Chulane, Teller of Tales combine either of the above with either Leyline of Anticipation and Seedborn Muse and every turn is your turn to slam down lands and pay them off with Omnath smacking everyone. With an ultimate finisher of Thassa's Oracle and you have all the goodness of a Bant flicker/Landfall deck combined with faster pay offs from Omnath to close out the game even faster.
Anyway these are just my thoughts of looking over your deck and thank you for letting me ramble.

sean360, so far in my play testing, Song of Creation has been more helpful than not. Especially when I have flicker effects going and additional land play to abuse the mana out of Omnath, Locus of Creation. Casting cheap stuff to draw two has been such great value that even at entire discard it hasn’t been devastating. Side note, in a few games I had Teferi's Protection in hand to cast and avoid the entire hand from being discarded.
Metachemist, thanks for the great feedback! It has definitely helped spark a few ideas for inclusions. I did consider Chulane, Teller of Tales, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, Thassa's Oracle and Zuran Orb in the beginning stages of construction of the deck, but later decided to have a heavier focus on beat down tokens. Your insight has made me want to kind of change the direction and include the suggested cards. Greatly appreciated!

No problem, and happy to offer inspiration. My own Bant Flicker abuse deck is hard for me to play cause I'm a big Aggro guy but I force myself to play it every so often to push my to better hone my skills. I did finally snag an Aluren for it so that's been entertaining.

Have you considered perilous forays to get omnaths triggers on every players turn? Also karametra with leyline of anticipation and ashayha. Also phylath world sculptor and prismatic omen.

Hey SteffisPeppis, I appreciate the suggestions. I did not consider cards such as Perilous Forays and Phylath, World Sculptor due to having only four basic lands in the deck. Prismatic Omen would fix the basic land problem, but to me, at least, it’s not worth making room for the bunch. Karametra, God of Harvests and Leyline of Anticipation, I have considered. They just didn’t make the cut in the meantime. Very possible they can be added down the road. All are still viable options if someone wants to build around including them. Thanks for the suggestions!

Expedition Map might be an option to have access to critical lands like Gaea's Cradle or Field of the Dead, but probably a bit expensive mana wise. Beautiful decklist. I was brewing a bit with the new Omnath as well, but your list is way more sophisticated!

Chulane, Teller of Tales might be a viable option for card draw and additional landfalls.

unwucht, thanks for checking out my brew! I’ve never been too much of a fan of Expedition Map with splash. I’d probably run Sylvan Scrying instead, if I needed the land tutor. I’ve always relied on Crop Rotation or Scapeshift to grab an important land. As for Chulane, Teller of Tales, I’m very close to possibly cutting something to make room for him. He seems to be highly recommended by the mass majority. Him and the lot of Leyline of Anticipation, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling and Karametra, God of Harvests. Still a lot of thought and play testing to do before I make some adjustments though. Thanks for the suggestions and good luck with your brew! I’ll check it out.

Finished a game last night with this deck. It got to the last turn and my opponent was tapped out. He still had a full 40 life. I had 6 lands on the board with Scute Swarm, and I drew Scapeshift. I also had Amulet of Vigor and Temur Ascendancy on board. I played Scapeshift, found all the fetch lands, fetched out a couple more fetch lands and dual lands...and by the end of it I had 20 landfall triggers. We didn't count how many Scute Swarm got made. With the remaining 6 untapped lands+Omnath, Locus of Creation, I slammed down Moraug, Fury of Akoum and swung for lethal.
The deck has problems with its few card draw outlets, but left alone, it can combo off pretty hard. I had lots of fun and am now trying to adopt the scutate strategy in standard to play in Commander. Thanks for the deck!

MalchiorDevenholm, that’s awesome that you took my deck for a test drive. I’m honored that you gave it a shot at performance. Sounds like you have experienced the deck in similar fashion as I have. In my test playing, I have also been able to pull off some ridiculous stunts with it. I do agree that the draw outlets are lacking and the deck could definitely use more draw. I find myself in need of having one online more times than none. It’s an area of opportunity I’d definitely like to address and get corrected. Other than that I have a blast playing around with this brew. Thanks for sharing your success story and for the feedback!

Have you thought about using Curiosity effects for more card draw? Third landfall trigger will draw you three cards. You probably want more consistent draw along the lines of Rhystic Study, but I think it’s another good option.

Abzkaban, thanks for the +1! Curiosity is a very interesting suggestion. I guess I didn’t think about it drawing off all opponents that were dealt damage from the third landfall trigger. I like the thought of that. Great suggestion, thanks!

You have a significantly high enough amount of elementals in this deck to consider Risen Reef, as well.
September 23, 2020 9:27 a.m.
Would you mind explaining the Scute Swarm // Illuna, Apex of Wishes combo? For me it looks like due to the legend rule any token created would need to be sacrificed.

Starsky2814 says... #25
unwucht, you are correct that does not work. Thanks for catching that! I got excited about Parcelbeast + Scute Swarm that I was thinking of other mutate abilities I’d like to Scutate and overlooked the legendary rule lol. Well cutting Illuna, Apex of Wishes now frees up a spot for either Roil Elemental, Risen Reef or Chulane, Teller of Tales.

Its not in the TappedOut database yet, but leave a spot open for Ancient Greenwarden!
