unwucht, if that were a thing, I’d definitely pass. Just like I have come to accept that I will never buy the judge promo of Gaea's Cradle lol. Some things are just not worth the foil price.
January 18, 2021 4:52 p.m.
True. On the other hand, there are some foil altered cards available, if only in proxy.

When Kaldheim releases, I’ll make the following adjustments:

So, it seems there's another potential card from Kaldheim Commander Decks to test out specifically in blink/landfall type deck and it's Cosmic Intervention. I'm aware that Teferi's Protection is the best overall but for a more budget-ish oriented build it's really great.

esperdeathblade, yeah, that would be good as an alternative to Teferi's Protection for a budget build.
I really appreciate all of your suggestions. Keep them coming if you have more.

This list of foils makes my Omnomnomnomnath quite jealous. This is a fantastic list and I love how you've posted it! Definitely got a +1 from me!

Also I just noticed how awesome the combo of Parcelbeast on Scute Swarm + Risen Reef since they all become elementals.

Isn't it? Never hurts to abuse some nasty combos from Standard in Commander :)

People seem to be focusing on abusing Mystic Reflection with your own creatures, but you can also use it on your opponent's creatures. Imagine the look on their face when their Kozilek enters the battlefield as a 0/1 plant...

How helpful has Moraug been for you so far, given that this isn't a combat-oriented deck? Would you consider swapping it in favor of a Evil Swirly Boi , or is that card too win-more for your tastes?
You have enough creatures that I might actually consider adding Growing Rites of Itlimoc Flip, but that one can be a bit slow so I would/do understand not running it.
Parcelbeast is a beautiful card that we all love (come at me), but given you're playing UG you have SO many options for card draw/ramp. Like the newly nearly-universally (god I hate how adverbial that was) banned powerhouse, Uro .
I love what you've done with this deck, the power and flavor are immense!

Omniscience_is_life Those are decent observations but I fear you are missing two facts:
-
Growing Rites of Itlimoc Flip is only a budget Gaea's Cradle . I have it in my more budgetish approach of this decklist, but Cradle is definitely to be preferred.
-
Parcelbeast mutated on Scute Swarm combos off extremely with Risen Reef .

unwucht why not have another Cradle , though? Two heads are in fact better than one!
I missed the Scute combo, but I think my comment still stands. Parcelbeast is too weak on its own to warrant an include even with a combo (IMO, ofc! I can understand it either way)
February 11, 2021 12:41 p.m.
The combo is not even about Pracelbeast's activated ability. The main aspect is that those Scute Swarm tokens will be elementals triggering Risen Reef. Yeah, it's a three card combo and thus, a bit difficult to assemble. But once you get it going, it is literally nuts.

Omniscience_is_life says... #16
Yeah... the "difficult to assemble" part is what's getting me here. Scute Swarm is also a very target-worthy card, and if it gets removed you've been two-for-one'd. I'd consider cutting it as mentioned prior--but I can see at least why it's here in the first place now. Thanks for explaining that ;3

Omniscience_is_life, there is a possibility that I include Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath again. Especially since I just preordered the secret lair version the other day. I could remove Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite since that is my flex card.

I actually just threw in Cosima, God of the Voyage Flip in my own list and I'm excited to see how well Boaty McBoatFace does.

I’m thinking about removing Teferi's Protection and adding Veil of Summer instead. Any thoughts? Has Teferi's Protection been useful enough to keep?

I'll be posting it up soon but I'm making a variation of this deck that while meme oriented will probably still be quite strong, gonna call it "DesignMistakes.dek" and focus on cards that warped formats but are still legal in Commander. Will definitely be looking for insight on it once it's up even as a prototype list.

Any thoughts on adding Echoing Equation ? Turn our creatures into Omnath, Locus of Creation for a turn. Lot of life gain, mana and damage, if we hit all three levels of landfall.
April 19, 2021 7:27 a.m.
I was actually considering to add Jadzi, Oracle of Arcavios Flip due to it's sorcery backside. Not sure yet, if it is worth the slot, but with enough lands in hand, it could trigger massive amounts of landfall.
April 25, 2021 6:27 a.m.
Starsky2814 Echoing Equation is a beauty, for sure. From my point of view this deck has massive combo potential already. I currently consider to put in some flexible removal. I ran into a few situations were I simply couldn't find some answers to some boardstates.

JakeSmith94, the land count is up to the player. I personally run most of my decks with 35 lands and never have issues. I base my land counts off 8x8 theory, which includes 35 lands and 8 ramp cards. Though I don’t tend to follow 8x8 completely, I do tend to go with at least 8 ramp min with my 35 lands.
As for the foiling, it’s definitely not necessary, but Omnath was one of my first commanders (also, one of my favorites) and I’ve been foiling cards for him since he was Omnath, Locus of Rage. Each time he upgrades the foil cards follow.
