I like to add Heartbeat of Spring / Keeper of Progenitus . I know it gives everyone double mana (nearly with keeper) but it will help you even more with Omnath out. Also add Aluren so if Omnath dies you can just flash him back in as you should have enough mana stored up. Upwelling is Omnath in enchantment form but like heartbeat effects everyone. Yavimaya Hollow is also every good in creature heavy decks and you may want to consider.

Hope that helps!

@TheDarklight: Hey thanks for the ideas, what exactly would you have switched out for any of your suggestions?

I am liking the Aluren , but does that still work because when Omnath, Locus of Mana dies his casting cost goes up by 2. I really would want a Yavimaya Hollow , but these two cards will have to wait. When I scrap up some more money to spend on magic I will go for these two cards.

with Aluren and a General all you need to do is pay the additional cost. So first time is free (providing Omnath hasn't be cast yet) then for each additional time you cast him from the general zone you only pay the 2 colourless times the number of times he has been sent back to the general zone. (hope that makes sense)

Well you don't really need command tower has you only got 1 colour soYavimaya Hollow can replace that.

Heres a few other cards you can take out if you wantRevive , Regrowth , Recollect , Crop Rotation , Essence Warden (it only is worth wild when you can produce ALOT of tokens continuously), Wellwisher (similar to warden) and Copperhorn Scout .

Another card you should add is Bellowing Tanglewurm . Also, I am not one for 2 card infinite combos (but this seems like a expection) seems your using Earthcraft add Squirrel Nest to make infinite squirrels! Hope that all helped!

@TheDarklight: Hey thanks for the explanation, I get it now. I love the Squirrel Nest idea, I think I will use that one. The Bellowing Tanglewurm is another fantastic idea, I forgot I own one those. I like where the deck is heading now.

Those sound really good, I will have to play test the current versions before I can start with those. The one I am almost interested in is Sakiko, Mother of Summer , I kind of want to add her right away. I will still wait and see how the current form of the deck handles my meta.

If you don't have Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx in there, you are doing it all wrong. Get your devotion to green up, and start adding bunches of green mana. It is a cabal coffers for any color.

Hey lastgas5miles, thanks for the suggestion. I will add Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to my maybe board. When I get that card I will add it in, wait for it to go down in price an what not.

@TheDarklight: I took out the graveyard retrieval, added in your suggestions. I will play test it and see how it does. Hopefully with the new stuff I wont really need to retrieve anything back from the graveyard.

Sadly Rofellos is banned now.

I really like using Omnath. Some things I like to use are Woodfall Primus, Terastodon, Acidic Slime, Hall of Gemstone, Recycle.

Also one that is a little more Natural Order. Which pairs great with Green sun, and Dryad Arbor- turn one ramp, that easily leads to turn 2 or 3 natural order in to terastodon for scoop.

If you want to check mine out. Omnastic

@Didgeridooda: Thanks for the reminder, I forgot to put up my banned card warning in the description.

I like Omnath too, its fun to ramp with elves and smack someone with Omnath.

I will check out your deck, thanks for the suggestions.

Hey Arknir_Draknov, thanks for the suggestion.

But why did you pick Craterhoof Behemoth?

I don't roll out a ton of elf tokens all the time, very rarely actually. I am having a hard time seeing a connection, aside from the fact you can swing really heavy on one turn.

I picked it cause its great in green edh and you don't need tokens to make it work.

I once had 10 creatures out and played it. Won that turn.

Oh, well that makes sense. I guess I never really thought of swinging with my mana dorks.

I will try to make some room for it and test it out in the future.

Do you have a "nam-nam" deck?

I like your deck. It is very similar to my Omnath, Locus of Mana EDH deck which is also elf tribal. I bought mine for $70. Maybe you should add Liege of the Tangle in a wrath all of your lands die but i think it is worth it because you have all of your elves to replace lands. Also you might consider adding Drove of Elves. My deck: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/omnath-epic-ramp-edh/

Thanks horatio13 for liking the deck. I will try to play around with your suggestions.

I just have not had the time lately, maybe in the beginning of the fall.

Just FYI craterhoof is one of if not the most powerful green guy. I just don't own one, or I would run him for sure.

Also, Elvish Mystic, Llanowar Elves, Fyndhorn Elves are great, and curve very well to allow for a turn 2 omnath. I even tossed in Elvish Spirit Guide, and Lotus Petal to try to get turn 2 nath as much as I can.

@Didgeridooda: Sorry this took so long for me to reply, I just updated my deck.

I like your suggestions, but which creatures would you pull out of the mana pile to add these mana dorks?

November 28, 2015 12:39 p.m.

obitus says... #21

I will try the Llanowar Elves and see how that differs with my 3mc producer.

Didgeridooda says... #22

Viridian Joiner, Argothian Elder, Wirewood Channeler are all ones I would replace for 1 costers.

In my deck I only run the elder to go infinite with Maze of Ith.

Now I want to play my Omnath deck again. I have not been able to play it for a while.

November 28, 2015 2:20 p.m.

obitus says... #23

All of those creatures allow me to go infinite, but I did add one dork for another producer.

I am going to try out the earlier ramp style and see how it goes. I will also look at your deck to see how it is built.

November 28, 2015 2:38 p.m.

Didgeridooda says... #24

Thanks for checking it out. It is a high octane build. I try to do big things fast. Omnath giving mana double duty is really nice.

How many times in a game does your Omnath die? I once had to pay 35 to cast mine.

November 28, 2015 6:39 p.m.

obitus says... #25

On average I lose him about 3-5 times a game, depending on how scary I make him. To be fair, if I made my deck as scary as yours I would suspect people would kill my general a whole lot more.

In the beginning I used to cast him all the time, but then people always just want to board wipe things, so I started playing more conservatively. In my meta, things do not stay on the board very long, regardless of the card type.

I play all my decks in stages now, the ramp stage, develop board stage, and finally the commander stage. So I lose him a lot less than I used too.

I don't remember the max amount of times I have lost omnath, but I did remember having to pay a lot when I combo with Greater Good.
