The basis of this idea came from one thought. "If green is about hydras and mana, how can I get the best of both worlds?" In case your wondering, this comes from a guy who started his career in Rakdos. Anyway, I found my mana ramp but it wasn't enough. Enter hours of searching magiccards.info and I find Omanth, Locus of Mana. I was ecstatic! As I look through my collection at the color I originally thought wasn't worth my time, I find my stash of old Abzan cards and it see the +1/+1 spring into existence. I keep looking, finding mana ramp and token spam. This deck is looking up for me! Anyway, you didn't come here for a story. This deck is made for turn 3 Omnath and then start storming up mana for mid to late game. Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury drops out my mana tokens and after a few turns, they double with Second Harvest. This deck likes to start dropping lots of thing by turn 8-ish so, Managorger Hydra is happy to eat up everything people throw down. When you have Myojin of Life's Web down and you -6 Freyalise with green creatures to spare, take the counter off and drop all creatures you drew. Hydra Broodmaster lets you drop 14 14/14 hydras if you drain Omnath of 25 mana, which should be easy enough. Clear the board with Polukranos, World Eater. The modules allow you to drop 1/1 servos and +1/+1 counters. Drop 30 mana oh hangerback walker then -2 Freyalise to spawn 15 1/1/ thopters. Nissa, Nature's Artisan gains you 3 life each turn then you give everything +5/+5 (Imagine an already 30/30 Omnath) and trample. A basic wincon. Awakening Zone gets you fodder and more mana to use turn of. Into the Wilds and Frontier Siege for ramp and when you span tokens, more life with Leyline of Vitality. Vastwood Hydra drops +1/+1's on everything when it dies... eventually. Culticator of Blades is a buffer and Shamanic Revelation is a card draw and life gain. Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger is more mana for you and less for your opponents. Empty Omnath on Endless One, you'll get it back quick anyway. Need something late game? Planar Bridge is there for you, you have mana to spare! Hooded Hydra for a big guy and wennies. Need any annoyances on turn 5-7 Kozilek, Butcher of Truth and Void Winnower got your back.
