Meloku the Clouded Mirror and Azusa, Lost but Seeking both feel like they'd be great in here. And Scapeshift is a must! Another random thought, Faith's Reward could be a cool trick. Gives you some wrath protection, or could combo for a giant landfall with Scapeshift, Zuran Orb, etc. A bit situational, but I've found a lot of fun from that in EDH. I feel like Yavimaya Elder would be great too. And of course you could add as many fetch lands as you want for the double landfall trigger, but obviously that drives the price up substantially so I understand if you don't want to do that.

I could see cutting Tunneling Geopede, it doesn't seem like it does enough. But looks like a really fun deck, makes me want to give this commander a try!

zorsmobile, thanks for the suggestions!

Only reason shapeshift and the fetches aren't in here is because I don't own them and they are expensive. Otherwise they'd absolutely be in here.

I had meloku in here previously and he (she?) performed quite well but I switched it out for Trade Routes instead. It's very much on theme though so I could try to find room.

Tunnelling geopede I like because it combines quite nicely with Splendid Reclamation. Even outside of that combo it is a nice cheap way to get incremental damage.

I'll try to find room to throw meloku back in here

Woah, I just looked it up and I had no idea that scapeshift was that expensive. Very understandable haha

Ran into Ruin Ghost and seems killer for this deck. Getting a free extra landfall trigger is obviously great, and you go infinite with Retreat to Coralhelm

In an MTGO game a YouTuber w/ a Commander game channel said he was going to throw up the game. He was really into the K&T Landfall idea too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUGrQM41i9s&t=0s

Phronimos, thanks for checking my deck out. I've purposely stayed away from combos in my deck. Every time I've built a combo deck I've quickly become bored with it. Just not my play style :) I like the slow midrange value this deck produces.

I checked out your deck and upvoted it. It's a very nice deck

I like it! +1!

Interesting tech. I thought about them, but I thought they did not play a vital role in the game. I wonder how they would look at Duel Commander ... Maybe add some counterspells ?

Pretty cool idea! I have wanted to build a Kynaios and Tiro deck but didn't know how to proceed. This is a great idea!

I have a couple of suggestions though if I may: Undergrowth Champion, Roil Elemental, Hedron Crab, Adventuring Gear, and Sunspring Expedition. These just might be some fun additions. I love the Champion as the perfect blocker for non-trample creatures.

Necro, thanks for checking out the deck. I don't play duel Commander so I'm not sure how they would perform. My understanding is duel Commander is pretty fast so you would probably have to lower the average CMC. I used to have some counterspells in here but decided to move away from them just for a break (my other blue decks run counterspells). Heroic Intervention and Eldrazi Monument are kinda replacements for counterspells as they protect the team from temoval.

Bassmaster, thanks for your suggestions. i had many of those cards in the deck at one point. Slowly I have moved away from landfall cards that don't ramp, produce tokens, anthem, or draw cards. ultimately those are the things the deck is trying to do. the "go tall" cards like Oran-Rief Hydra and Undergrowth Champion are great but work against the "go wide" strategy of the deck. Roil Elemental on the other hand is a card I have often thought about putting back. while not a token card, the steal ability is definitely powerful. the triple blue casting cost is tough but I will try to find room again. Thanks for the feedback :)

Great deck once again MegaMatt13 ! I was looking for a landfall deck that would have the Knight of the Reliquary and Retreat to Coralhelm combo. Just saying, I'm going to put Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Oblivion Sower in there for some sweet landfall triggers.

I love Kynaios and Tiro decks, their always a lot of fun, +1 all day. Also, I recommend this to pretty much everyone who plays these guys: Khalni Gem. I'd also recommend this guy if you want a little more artifact/enchantment removal: Trygon Predator.

Thoughts on Blood Sun? It may be fairly good here as it allows your bounce lands to etb untapped and not bounce anything, though it would probably necessitate swapping out a couple other lands.

Landfall has always been my favorite mechanic. Didnt think of using this Commander, until I saw your list. I like what youve done with it, very interesting.

EventuallyClassy, thanks for your comment. This deck is a blast to play...one of my favourites. It also tends to get left alone early game due to the "group hug" nature of K & T's ability. It is only when the landfall engine really gets rolling do opponents clue in it's a threat.

Miscalcul8edRisk, appreciate the suggestion and I considered Blood Sun. Problem is that it is too high variance. It's great against some decks and a dud against others. Helps my bounce lands, kills my Kessig Wolf Run, Thawing Glaciers and Strip Mine. If my meta was even bigger on utility lands I would probably include it though.

Woah! I have a landfall based K&T deck too! You can find mine here.

I'm excited to find someone who had a similar idea and I will definable be going through your decklist and description very closely when I get home later!

Love the deck, great idea! Did you exclude courser of kruphix for any specific reason? Seems like it would be a great inclusion.

I really like this deck. Definitely gonna try to make a budget variant with this write-up. I feel like the upcoming Tatyova, Benthic Druid could have a home here if we can make room for her.

Rowsdower, yeah definitely going to add her. She will be a perfect fit!

I've been working on my own K&T Landfall list for a while and am excited to see someone who's worked on it much longer. Any consideration for The Mending of Dominaria and/or World Shaper? I'm also curious how the Retreats have been for you: I like Coralhelm for combo opportunities but wasn't sure Kazandu provided enough value.

kineticstasis, thanks for your interest in the deck. This deck is a blast to play and doesn't anger opponents because of the Commander's "group hug" ability.

I've thought about both World Shaper and The Mending of Dominaria, but I think they may operate too slowly. Green just has other cards that essentially do those abilities with less hoops to jump through. They are cheap rares to pick up though so I'll be curious to hear if they work out for you!

I agree that kazandu is the weakest of the "Retreat" cycle that i've included. I temporarily took it out and may take it out again. Having said that, it still performs OK as a way to buffer your life total while you build up and its +1/+1 counters can actually build up quickly. I would give it a B in the deck. Retreat to Emeria is absolutely amazing in the deck giving both tokens and an anthem on the same card. I don't use Retreat to Coralhelm for combos but it is good value, being able to scry in advance of K&T's end of turn trigger.
