chirz2792 yeah, I could combo on and on with Eternal Witness and some more shenanigans, but the idea is to keep it at Elemental Tribal deck.

Trtl Explosive Vegetation goes in for Nissa's Renewal!

Explosive Vegetation goes out for Skyshroud Claim (as it can tutor both duallands)

Spisepinden says... #12

Ranger's Path (can tutor dual lands as well) and Boundless Realms for a metric ton of 5/5's while Omnath is out?

Spisepinden Great suggestions! I'm at 4 ramp spells right now, and haven't played this weekend, but will try to playtest this following weekend with some frineds and see if I need more of them, or if I'm ok like this. Definitely will keep this spells in mind, I really like them!

+1 This looks like a really fun to play budget deck. Considering your high mana curve I think you should add more lands (at least 37) and remove some accelerator artifact.

ironmindraph Hey man, thanks for the input! I've mage some changes lately...

I've been playing this for some time now, and one thing I need to overcome almost any threat is Omnath. "Why, of course it is..." one may say, but indeed. I've realized that you may play him on turn 6, 5 or even 4 with some ramp spells nad creatures, but if he gets exiled as soon as he enters, let's name a Path to Exile for eg, it becomes really hard to re-cast it for 9 mana. That's why I need those artifacts. Not only they help me perform more than one action on a turn (taking on account my high mana curve), but they also help me re-cast Omnath 2 or 3 times, if he gets exiled/destroyed. Without my commander, my deck does almost nothing.

What I did add were some ramp spells. Now I've got 5 of them, and with all the mana stones and ramp creatures I can develop a decent board state.

Id agree with buddy above, up your land count a bit. Id also drop a lot of those ramp rocks in favor of land ramp. Lands are much harder to get rid of, and you have access to green, the best ramp color around, and artifacts will have a hard time competing with the ramp efficiency green offers. Also, land ramp triggers your commander, which as you said, is very important. Here is a list I threw together awhile ago, it has all the 'best' green ramp cards available if you wanted to take a look for ideas.

Sir Omnath Rampsalot

RoarMaster Hey, thanks for stopping by!

I wnet through your deck and looks really cool! however, yours and mine have very different approaches. See, with all your ramping spells, you can bring almost your entire lands into play very fast. However, I play with a lot of utility lands, so I could only bring 15 basics into play. If I manage to play my 5 spells, I almost have no lands any other spells could target. That's why I'm just at 5. The fastest, cheapest, and most efficient ones.

This, plus my ramping/mana creatures, makes it really easy to play. Of course is not as fast as yours, but still does its work!

Regarding your deck, as I said, it's a different way of playing. You plan to rely only on the tokens Omnath generate, and do not rely on creatures of that type. But really, I cannot understand why you're not playing Eternal Witness. It's like the iconic green card!

Thinking of including Gruul War Chant for its menace effect...

Riptide Replicator is out. Unfortunately, although it comboes very well in this deck, never has priority against other cards. There's always something better to cast instead of this. And for it to be extremely useful, I need it to be cast for 9 mana. Not that I can't pay for it, but still... zero priority.

Akroma's Memorial is in! In fact, I just need something for haste, and flying if possible. So let's go for the big thing!

Did you see that card Charging Cinderhorn from C16? Would that have a place in this deck?

chirz2792 I saw it! I was debating with a friend some days ago. It hurts me pretty bad that the one that has to leave is Obsidian Fireheart. I'm in love with him, but unfortunately, it will be replaced because:

  • Stats and costs are almost the same. It will die to my own Pyroclast Consul, but then again, we want our elementals to die. And it still triggers Elemental Bond, which is a key piece of the deck.

  • Although its way to deal damage differs, it probably won't do an amazing amount of it. Just like Obsidian Fireheart, it will do 2 or 3 ping dmg at most in a game. The thing here is that this guy doesn't require mana to trigger, which is extremely important. See, usually in a table of 4, you don't want to spend 6 mana for 2 ping dmg. Generally, we have far more better things to do with it: pay to draw, to play an ability, to cast some instant. Anything better that doing 1 or 2 ping damage to one or two players.

I still love him though <3 But the ox will definitely do a better job.

Maybe play Evolving Wilds for the double landfall

November 10, 2016 1:13 p.m.

Neko069 says... #23

Zero2001 Actually this deck uses both Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse for that double effect, just like it uses Jund Panorama and Naya Panorama, but somehow the're not showing here...I'm quite surprised, now that you mention it...I'll re-check my deck and update this list!

Thanks for the heads-up!

Hi there, you have a very interesting take on Omnath. I would recommend Drownyard Temple as it combos with Constant Mists and is helpful if you need to sac lands.

Neko069 says... #25

Enral hey, thanks for the idea! Never realized I could do that!

While I do prefer to have the less amount of colorless mana resources possible, I still like the idea. I believe using it just for the sake of 1 card out of 99 it's kind of a waste, but maybe I could include something like Harrow, so I could get more value out of it =)
