Artifact (1)

After learning how to play EDH with a modified Kaalia deck, I did some trades at the local card shop, Dragon's Cove, and came upon Omnath.

Of course, bulking it up for a general damage kill is always good and the primary way this deck wins.

Second is through ramping up to quick, huge creatures, giving them trample or making them unblockable, GG.

But the third option is what I wanted to highlight. With Weird Harvest and Collective Voyage, I found I could, with 30+ mana, mill decks.

I cast Weird Harvest and force them to dump all their creatures into their hands, and then their graveyards. Then I have Boneyard Wurm, you see.

I cast Collective Journey and I can mill all their land, and with Omnath, if I can survive the first round following playing CJ, then I will win because I can use that mana in so many ways.

With no land and no creatures in decks, one swing with the Sword and they are decked. GG.

The first time I tried the Collective Journey was a disaster. I did it with a cascade deck going next, using Dralnu as the general. He played five turns in a row, killing two other players, and then killed me last in gratitude. GG.

Is it better than a good Kaalia deck? It's different. I have a lot of flight defense in this to defend against just that sort of thing.

Odd cards are just that--odd cards that I own that I like.

Cavern of Souls is in there to protect the general. "Elemental" I say.

Comments are always appreciated. Thank you.

EDIT: I've done away with the Weird/Collective combo in that it does not work. But now I'm adding Altar of Dementia for a combo with Nim Deathmantle and my general, and a couple other artifacts to create an annoying mill strategy that I can activate when it benefits me and not them. And this one has no drawbacks that I can see, unlike Weird/Collective.

To be clear--Omnath's mana tank hits 30, and has Nim on it. Altar is out. Opponent is clueless. Sac Omnath to graveyard, Opponent mills 30. Pay 4, return it to battlefield with Nim on it. No loss of mana pool. Repeat, opponent mills 26. Do it five more times or until he hits me with his/her fist.
