@Lanzo493: Thanks for your suggestion!
I don't own the cards for this deck yet, so I haven't tested it. Doubling Cube was included in the first versions. A friend suggested to cut it because "Eh, mana shouldn't be a problem for you." To some extent, I agree with him, but yes, Doubling Cube is an auto include for any Omnath, Locus of Mana deck.
Without testing it, I probably would take it in over Karametra's Acolyte . What would you suggest?

Genesis Wave and Squall Line can win you the game when you have a lot of mana saved up. Wolfbriar Elemental is an Omnath staple. Avenger of Zendikar and Craterhoof Behemoth would be great with your flicker and re enter the battlefield effects. Akroma's Memorial is powerful. Whispersilk Cloak is my favorite equipment for Omnath. Harmonize , Momentous Fall , and Garruk, Primal Hunter are some of greens best draw spells you could add. Reliquary Tower is a staple.
Anyways these are just suggestions. I'm sure the deck would run fine as is. I was making an Omnath, Locus of Mana but to make it the way I wanted too was going to be expsensive. So now I'm almost done with a Multani, Maro-Sorcerer deck.

@hisaoawesome: Thanks for your suggestions! I considered all these cards before I decided that I didn't want to make one of the usual Omnath decks (play random big creatures or win through commander damage) but try and make a toolbox deck.
I didn't take this cards in because they either support one of the other strategies or are no creatures (especially Harmonize and Momentous Fall ). I didn't take Reliquary Tower in because there isn't much card draw in this deck and I want to have many green mana sources.
Maybe I dismissed Genesis Wave too soon, it is worth a try, as I only play 10 non-permanents.

Check out mine. Omnastic very similar deck to yours. Gen wave, Recycle , Greater Good are all amazing. Gen wave for 30 is usually a scoop. Natural Order goes really well with dryad arbor, and green sun.

@Didgeridooda: Thanks for your suggestions!
Greater Good is definitely in my shortlist, I have to see if I can manage with the card draw I have, first.
I'm not a big fan of Recycle and Natural Order is too expensive. I'm not on a budget, but there are limits to what I pay for card board.

Please reconsider Recycle
. I have a ton of ramp, and when I drop recycle it is practically game over every time. I am not even kidding. For 50 cents, it is the best draw engine out there. By the time I get to playing it I already am down to 2 or 3 cards in hand. Then pop it out there, and just go to town. I can go through a whole new hand on some turns. Late game crop rotation becomes better. Draw another land when you already have 11 out? That is ok, when you play it you get to draw. It gives my early game stuff new life at the end because they are just cheap draw at that point.
Sorry about the story there, I just really love that card. I truly think it has won me every game when it has been played.

@Didgeridooda: Well, you certainly made it sound compelling. I will test it. What would you take out? I don't want to lower the creature count.
June 26, 2014 6:42 p.m.
hyperlocke says... #9
@Didgeridooda: I tested Recycle and it does not nearly as well as it seems to do in your deck. This deck has a much higher mana curve than yours, so while you can pump out 1-3 drops, I'm stuck with 3-5 drops, so Recycle is a lot less effective.
@hisaoawesome: Yeah, Genesis Wave is definitely worth it. It replaced Helix Pinnacle , which is kinda boring and got destroyed everytime it reached 60-80 counters.

I could see that making a difference. I also think I ramp almost twice as much as you too. If you ever start to ramp harder give Recycle another chance. Lands also trigger the draw, in-case you were not doing that.

If you want a dirty combo in there try Food Chain + Aluren or Aluren and Altar of Dementia

hyperlocke says... #12
@Jaegy: Thanks for the suggestion! I don't want to add combos (maybe infinite mana if I was going for commander damage), but how would the suggested combos work? I'm assuming you want to cast Omnath, Locus of Mana with Aluren , sac it and cast it again for infinite mana/mill. If that's the case, it won't work, because the additional cost of 2 still has to be paid for each time the commander was previously cast from the command zone.

garrettlstewart Harmonize is ok, but there is much better draw for green.
August 6, 2014 4 p.m.
hyperlocke says... #15
@garrettlstewart: Harmonize is great, but I want to play this deck as a creature toolbox. I would totally run it if it were a creature. Also, between Wall of Blossoms , Elvish Visionary , Soul of the Harvest , Regal Force and Garruk, Caller of Beasts , I can't complain about card draw. Thanks for the suggestion!
August 6, 2014 4:16 p.m.
Would Eidolon of Blossoms be worth a slot, its guaranteed to draw you one card, with the prospect of drawing you more if you play any of your enchantments. Also, would Courser of Kruphix help at all getting lands out? Also, would Archetype of Endurance be useful, because hexproof, lol?
August 27, 2014 2:47 p.m.
hyperlocke says... #17
@fijord:
Eidolon of Blossoms : There is enough card draw in this deck and I play only 6 enchantments, so it's not really worth the slot.
Courser of Kruphix : No. If I'd play something to help with my land drops, it would be Oracle of Mul Daya , but I almost never miss a drop in the first 4-5 turns, so I don't need it.
Archetype of Endurance : I play Asceticism , which gives hexproof and regeneration. Hexproof is nice, but I don't think it's worth running a pretty bad creature to get it.
Thanks for your suggestions!

I see that you have Fauna Shaman in your maybe list. Either Fauna or cards like Survival of the Fittest are incredible when you need to grab the exact creature. And most importantly they are permanents so you can use them any time you need a certain tool. Also, with the amount of mana you generate and creatures you have, Chord of Calling might be free to cast and puts a creature right into play. It'll act as a second Green Sun's Zenith .
September 4, 2014 3:25 p.m.
hyperlocke says... #19
@Sioum: Yeah, Fauna Shaman is a great card. It's in the maybe list because I think I have enough tutors. Then again, more tutors don't kill me, either. I will test it over Spearbreaker Behemoth , which is only in here to protect Omnath. This isn't that important after the first 4 or 5 turns, because then I should have enough mana to play almost everything. I have to have a certain amount of creatures in this deck for Garruk, Caller of Beasts , so Survival of the Fittest is a no-go.
When planning this deck, I didn't think I would have so much mana so consistently, that's why Chord of Calling wasn't included (and not even in the maybe list). But as said above, after the first few turns, I usually have 10+ mana to spend, so Chord of Calling can come in. I'll probably take out Primeval Bounty . It's a great value card but the only ability I care about is the beast token and even that isn't really necessary.
Thanks for your suggestions!

@pretickle: Between Vernal Bloom , Mana Reflection , Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary , Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger and Doubling Cube , I have enough mana multiplikation.
Dictate of Karametra gives my opponents a far greater advantage than Vernal Bloom , which I sometimes don't cast, because my opponent has 4 or more forests out.
Thanks for the suggestion!

@OP_Magikarp: Thanks for the suggestion!
I like Forgotten Ancient, but it doesn't really fit into this deck. It doesn't solve any threats and the counters don't really do much here. In most cases, I win with a giant unblockable/trampling Omnath, Locus of Mana or with Craterhoof Behemoth. +1/+1 conters on some creatures become irrelevant really fast.

Avenger of Zendikar? I'm sure you've considered playing it at one point or another, but if you have... Why not?
November 18, 2014 8:24 p.m.
hyperlocke says... #25
@KillthatBUG: Because it doesn't solve any threats. I don't want to go down the "Drop big creatures and go smash face" route with this deck. Instead, I want to take out opposing threats with toolbox creatures until I can win with an unblockable/trampling Omnath, Locus of Mana or with Craterhoof Behemoth.
