INTRO

Elementals abound! Ramp, Omnath, swing, pray, win. Please feel free to comment, discuss, critique, suggest, or just strike up some conversation. I know this deck can improve, it's far from streamlined. It's an old school deck trying to hang in a new school playground.

GOAL

Build a deck filled with flavor and synergies, effective enough to stand against control/combo-heavy decks in an increasingly competitive LGS meta. As much as I crave flavor, I'm willing to surrender a little for some reliable win-conditions... as long as they can still provide value to the deck otherwise. In other words, don't just yell out "KIKI-CONSCRIPTS!" just because I'm playing red. Outside of a few powerful synergies, the path to victory is by out-valuing opponents, turning dudes sideways, and hitting face old-school with enablers like Craterhoof and Nylea to help those punches sting a little.

STRENGTHS

Land-based ramp is quite hard to counter, so we're playing, fetching, sac'ing, recurring, and spamming lands and abusing Omnath's ability to vomit out 5/5 elemental tokens, perhaps even triggering draws or burns off them. If someone attempts to kill them without answering Omnath's triggers, start bolting faces.

WEAKNESSES

This is where I need the most help! The deck is innately heavily commander-centric. He's a 7-drop, easily counterable and vulnerable to the most efficient of removal cards. After a few trips to the command zone, the deck REALLY struggles and he becomes nearly uncastable. No Omnath on board makes the gameplan here extremely difficult, if not impossible to win. With no dragons at the present moment, even a small bird could bring this deck to its knees if it fails to draw any removal.

ALMOST THERE

A handful of cards that have yet to justify a spot on the First team... that doesn't make them bad cards by any means, it just means there's something about it that just doesn't feel perfect (often just a situational nature, so maybe they're just really strong "tech" cards once my meta settles a bit).
