Lotus Cobra give you more landfall action, as do Rampaging Baloths and Avenger of Zendikar. Azusa, Lost but Seeking lets you play two lands a turn. Sylvan Library gives you the ability to draw a tonne of cards in green, while also giving you free top deck manipulation every turn. Survival of the Fittest lets you run a toolbox of creatures.

@FAMOUSWATERMELON I am not sure about those, because they enter the battlefield tapped or I need to pay to activate the effect, which seems pretty slow to me... I want to make this deck as competitive as I can (I have no budget restrictions). Even Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds are borderline, because the land is entering the battlefield tapped, but it is less of a problem, because I can still get two lands per turn, which is not the case with the "fetches" that are entering the battlefield tapped or that I need to pay for...

But thanks for the suggestions! Keep going and don't forget to +1!

I mean, you can still get two lands per turn, you just get the extra one on the next turn instead. But I see your point. I was just assuming that this was a joke deck with 99 lands, so capitalizing on the fetches is key.

@FAMOUSWATERMELON

No, this deck is not meant to be another joke 99 lands deck, even if it could easily have been, it wouldn't be that good. I am really trying to make it as competitive as possible. I am just strating out like this to have a "playtestable" version of the deck, and also because even if it will not be a 99 lands deck, it will still need a lot of lands.

Primal Surge and Genesis Wave are great. You might also want to add something like Warstorm Surge to deal damage directly in case the opponents have a pillow fort type deal. There might be more suggestions in the future, but that's what I got for now.

Edit: You might also want to add some other elementals like Groundbreaker, Ball Lightning, and Spark Elemental for fodder.

Budoka Gardener would be incredible in here. You might also want to consider Cloudstone Curio and Burgeoning. Freakin amazing synergy right there. Just keep getting lanfall triggers for days! :D

Dude, Borborygmos Enraged would sync in great with Crucible of Worlds and Omnath. Plus he's a R/G legendary creature

You could play a different commander, then make him the only creature in your deck and play Oath of Druids. Play mana ramp, extra land drops per turn like Exploration, and cards that just get a lot of lands out at once like Boundless Realms. Could play all the cards like Ranger's Path, Skyshroud Claim, Mwonvuli Acid-Moss, Explosive Vegetation, Khalni Heart Expedition, Farseek, Three Visits, Nature's Lore, Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Oracle of Mul Daya, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Summer Bloom...

God this guy is scary. I saw him last night and almost fainted. You might want at least a little ramp. Exploration, The Great Aurora (the biggest green middle finger), Explore, Summer Bloom, and Kodama's Reach to name a few. The faster you can get omnath out the better, and if you get the land base you need with the right ramp I don't know how this can be beat. +1 for the insane deck!

The thing about The Great Aurora is that it would shuffle Omnath, which technically you would want to send him to the command zone, voiding you of landfall triggers. The others seem like a good idea though.

I suggest it because it still gives you an easy way to recast omnoth while causing your opponents trouble

Since you haven't defined a budget, I'm going to assume you don't have one. Azusa, New Omnath, and Cloudstone Curio, you can play almost every land in your deck if you have fetches and Crucible. Other than that, Primeval Bounty is kinda disgusting, but also kinda gimmicky.

@vault

What is the trick with Cloudstone Curio??? Is it because I will bounce Azusa, Lost but Seeking, cast her again, and she will not "see" that I already played my two extra lands so I can play two others?

There's only one card that this deck NEEDS to run - Perilous Forays. Why yes, with the help of this Lotus Cobra / Mana Echoes / Amulet of Vigor I would like to machine gun through my entire set of basic lands and deal 3 per. Throw in a Grafted Exoskeleton and that's game. even without, a Warstorm Surge or a Vicious Shadows or whatever will be brutal.

-Fulcrum says... #23

Yea, that's how it works. When she re enters the battlefield, she is considered a new object and allows you to play another 2 additional lands.

enpc says... #24

vault: Not according to the new rules change. You only get 2 extra lands total. Bouncing her doesn't get you more lands.

Oh right, I forgot about the new rules change. Well, Azusa is still really good here.
