With Crucible of Worlds in the main board, you could include the land destruction lands of Wasteland/Strip Mine/Tectonic Edge/Ghost Quarter/Dust Bowl for added control.

Yep, that may be a really good idea!

Don't forget to +1 if you like the deck, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

You should get some way to tutor for Scapeshift. Ring of Three Wishes? Planar Portal?

Also, Life from the Loam. Zendikar's Roil should be an auto-include and I'm shocked it's not in the list already!

@ComradeJim270 you are so true!!! I completely forgot this mini Omnath!!! Thanks a lot, it is now in the deck. What was I thinking?!?

Thanks for the +1!!!

Also... Impending Disaster and Decree of Annihilation. Then, recur your lands. Or add in Titania, Protector of Argoth for extra hilarity.

Realm Seekers is a great land fetcher because you can pull any type of land not only basics. I played it last night for 25 +1/+1 counters just last night in a 5 person game, it did put a bit of a target on me tbh.

I wouldnt say this is a bad deck but it is CRAZY expensive for people who are trying to budget.

You could consider running Horn of Greed to help with card draw. While everybody gets a benefit, you should be getting more. Also, Storm Cauldron is super powerful for landfall.

@Cole6000: Once you put in Crucible of Worlds, Scapeshift and Zendikar fetches I don't think "budget" is much of a concern anymore.

thegigibeast says... #10

Yay, to make it budget you should remove the fetches and crucible, azusa and a lot of good cards. It would make the deck a lot less good... But do it if you want. I don't want to turn this one into a budget version. Maybe ill do it later on another deck.

Have you considered Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, and/or Primal Vigor?

thegigibeast says... #12

The two first would definitely be good in this deck, but the other could also help the opponents, and I don't want any group hug style cards in here as this is meant to be competitive as mich as possible.

Thanks and don't forget to +1 NoPantsParade!

Abundance would be a nice addition if you want to make sure you get a land every time you draw a card.

First, I was like "OMNOM, that must be Omnath. But this deck is also red....", but then I thought, "Ah, that's the new Omnath!", and it was!

It seems cool, but why no Omnath, Locus of Mana? He is a good ramp card alone!

Edit: I forgot to read the Maybeboard.... LOL

Abundance would be a great card for this deck. Great deck. +1 from me

Just want to say I'm happy to see someone using Storm Cauldron. I use it in a Borborygmos Enraged deck, and the thing is hilarious for the groans it generates, if nothing else. +1 from me! Good deck, and good luck.

Since you are wanting to have the new Omnath as your commander, you might want to add a couple new cards Oblivion Sower and Retreat to Kazandu. They would be great in here.

SirFowler says... #19

Oh, I just realized a nice trick that you could do to exile your opponent's entire deck. If you have the new Omnath, a Mana Reflection, and Cloudstone Curio in play with an Oblivion Sower in hand, there is a possibility of exiling an entire deck. You tap for a bunch of mana, cast Oblivion Sower, which exiles their cards. Now, put any lands in play, return the sower to hand after the landfall trigger gives you an elemental from Omnath, then repeat. To make sure you have plenty of mana, Doubling Cube would help. It could be a long shot, but it sure would be a fun way to win.

I think the best trick you can do with Oblivion Sower is run it along Realm Razer but you would need a naya deck for that.

OMG That would be so awesome!!!

I love the new Omnath. I can't wait to get my elemental deck finished and test with a copy of him in it.

Wheel of Fortune to keep the party going after you run out of steam. Should be an auto-include in just about any red-splashed deck, unless your meta is filled with 5-color Waste Not, Niv-Mizzet, and Nekusar decks.
