ahhh snap! noice!
Do you find that you are consistently able to cast Villainous Wealth effectively? or is it often a dead card?

I was never at a point where I was unhappy with casting Villainous Wealth , and it wasn't really a dead card, unless i draw 2 in a row at the start of the game.

+1 my good man this is similar to my deck Welcome to the Sultai Spitoon! How Tough Are Ya? And it is much fun playing other peoples decks against them.

I like the deck, but man I love it when people use Villainous Wealth on me and it back fires on them. I stomped a Sultai Control deck and in the middle of the game he dropped that card for an additional 6 mana. All he got was 4 lands and 1 Utter End and a Sylvan. It took everything not to laugh as I swung in on my next turn to finish him off.
The only thing. Do do you really benefit from Voyaging Satyr ? I use him in my mono green to help ramp with the untap on Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , but I'm just not seeing what color you'd use your Nykthos to ramp with.

I'm surprised not to see any counter spells, like Swan Song which can easily be removed by Drown in Sorrow . I play a deck similar to this and I felt I needed to have some counter for decks that try to remove plains walkers with direct damage. Have you had any issue of keeping things on the board or having Ashiok do the maximum amount of damage?

punxwin my philosophy is everything is disposable as long as they do a job,
If I play an Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver
for 3 manna and mill the top 3 cards of their library before they Hero's Downfall
. We both spend 3 manna so were even on that front, but I also got to see 3 cards from their library and got rid of a removal from their hand. I have enough card draw that the information is more valuable than then planes walker.
And for why I don't run any counter spells mainboard. Counter spells require immediate action, you can't wait to see what they do next before countering. With removal I can wait to see what their next move is before I use my spells, more information is better in my books :)
I also dislike Swan Song because it means you need to spend 2 spells to stop one of their.

This deck really inspired me. Far too many underestimate the Sultai Brood... until we steal their precious Siege Rhino , Mantis Rider , Goblin Rabblemaster , or Sagu Mauler .
Often times we mill ourselves or hurt ourselves, which is exactly what aggro decks want. But, what's their's is ours. AEtherspouts on top of Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver or Villainous Wealth is really something to worry about.
I'm gonna build a deck based on this for the Grand Prix trials, wish me luck!

Really cool. Plus 1. Try Taigam's Scheming 5 scry is great info.

Awesome deck man +1.
My only suggestion would be to squeeze in 2 aetherspouts and 2 dig through time. Maybe -1 ashiok -1 kiora and -2 sagu mauler. The sagu mauler is too much of a win more card in this build.
