Build up defenses for a while and make it look like your useless. When the time is optamal, drop one of your bombs such as Magister Sphinx or Sphinx of the Steel Wind. You can stall with any wall creatures or cards that make it hard to hit you like Propaganda. Plus, make it so your opponents can't untap with the Vedalken Mastermind + Stasis combo. If you are in a pinch, there is always the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond combo.
