The whole point of this deck is to knock the socks off of any other deck in one punch.
Hows it do dat?
It builds up a single creature, generally pretty quickly, and swings with nigh-unstoppable damage. The win-puncher can be built in a single turn mid-game, sometimes 2, given the circumstances.
Makeup Rundown (My beautiful face!)
The Brass Squire is a focal point for the deck. It lets it equip equipment at instant speed in response to things, like fighting.
Kor Duelists gain double strike early on, and are a prime target for win building quickly, but are not required to win.
The Fireshrieker + Inquisitor's Flail
can turn any creature into something that swings for around 8x damage on average. (Inquisitor's Flail rulings about when multiplication happens are here.)
Danger Will Robinson! Danger!
This deck is virtually defenseless against flying, swarm/aggro decks (goblins, slivers, some eldrazi, ELVES.), and can easily be defeated if it doesn't get what it needs. But that doesn't happen often. It can easily go toe-to-toe with counters and large eldrazi, and can defeat black excessive life gain decks on the fly. About in the time it takes to eat a sandwich, actually.
Plans for Better Toys?
These are some artifacts this deck could do with. Some are much better than others.
- Grappling Hook + Vorrac Battlehorns
; These will help to get through tougher enemies when your creature isn't unblockable.
- Crawlspace; This one is less needed, but it would definitely help with really, really fun creature decks, like token frenzy or old Eldrazi.
- Kusari-Gama; I believe its abilities would stack with Inquisitor's Flail, because of the Flail's wording, so this equipment has value value value!
All help and suggestions are welcome! I hope you found this enjoyable enough, and hope more that you leave me a suggestion to make this deck great (again).
