KULiiA: I'm sorry, so so sorry, but I don't do EDH decks, mostly cause I don't play it and have never tried it, but I'm pretty sure there are some who have made a squirrel set of some sort out there c:

Bummer : [

I'll have to look into making an EDH version of this deck. You've inspired me, lol

I picture myself sitting there with a million cute little suckers in squirrel sleeves ... and the best part ... I'm totally using peanuts as counters instead of dice. My playgroup would die laughing right before their nuts were castrated.

KULiiA: Hmm, if making the EDH deck with squirrels, then I'd probably suggest running something along with Rhys the Redeemed , Growing Ranks , Tolsimir Wolfblood , Wayfaring Temple and Skyshroud Poacher . Getting a lot of token stuff with help from elves and such c:

This might be the best deck I've ever seen.

How about Concordant Crossroads to be able to attack as soon as you got the combo?

Door of Destinies would be a horrible choice in this deck, as it only gets counters when you CAST the creature types, and it's pretty hard to add a huge stack of counters on it when the only Squirrel creature I can cast is Squirrel Mob

Oops oh well the card art for Might of Oaks in Urza's Legacy would fit so well for this deck.

ColinBeck I actually do have the exact card you're thinking of, laying around in the deckbox with my other squirrel cards. The problem with is tho', is that I rarely used it when I had it in my hand, tho' it surely can give quite the punch c:

Door of Destinies instead of Beastmaster Ascension but other then that amazing +1

March 23, 2014 10:53 a.m.

Infral says... #17

jnmc2013: Door of Destinies doesn't work in this deck, as I need to cast creatures of the chosen type, the only creature I can cast which is a squirrel, is Squirrel Mob and it's not like my deck flooding with those.

Beastmaster Ascension is really good in this deck, as you can just wait till you have 7 creatures in play, put down the Ascension, attack and BAM, all your creatures is now +5/+5. not many can deal with that huge power boost.

So really, you need an opening hand of Arbor Elf , Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest with at least two forests, and you've won on turn 4? Seems good!

1 - Forest, Arbor Elf

2 - Forest, Squirrel Nest using the elf to untap a forest,

3 - Earthcraft, spawn infinite squirrels

4 - Squirrels untap and lose summoning sickness, can swing in for lethal.

Servo says... #20

I may be wrong about this, but don't you have to wait a turn to tap creatures using Earthcraft? Summoning sickness and all, or does that only apply to T Symbols on cards?

March 28, 2014 10:49 p.m.

Infral says... #21

Servo: That only applies to T symbols and attacking in the first turn they enter play, so the Squirrel Nest +Earthcraft combo surely works c:

Springleaf Drum for infinite mana, too. Then you could add a Mistcutter Hydra .

April 2, 2014 8:50 a.m.

Infral says... #23

Prima: Springleaf Drum worn't be granting me infinite mana, as it only taps one creature at a time and itself to generate one mana, I have no way to untap the drum again.

And even if the combo worked, would I never use Mistcutter Hydra , mainly cause it have no theme in this deck and it doesn't do anything but being a big creature, that is, if I put a lot of mana into it. It would also feel very lonely as my squirrels would be mocking it everyday o:
