for sure! comment away! like the description says im not great with legacy and vintage cause i dont know all 3159073159 cards hahaha. all i know is one of the first games i played me and my friend teamed up against our friend and his rat deck and he destroyed us both every time. haha. ever since then ive wanted to make a rat deck and i finally did it last night. im dead set on the creatures and i know i want draw power, hence the Drain Life + Necropotence combo and Timetwister , but im sure there are better ways to accomplish that.

just a thought, but if you got some Rhys the Redeemed his last ability would be epically fun!!

So true on that one iLIKEelvs, I have also played him some few times in the deck and he sadly didn't woked that well, mostly cause he is a quite easy target for all kinds of removal and i'm sure, if you have something to answer with, then this guy would be shot down in no time.

But I do see what you are thinking, it would be so mean to double the tokens every single turn :P

i have an elf deck that runs him... yeah if they dont get rid of him, lets say it was a good game ;P

You may consider Leyline of Vitality to survive against other aggros and maybe get infinite life..

oh, thats a splendid idea, would also give me time to get my combo cards back, in case they totally screws it up

Swapping out Asceticism for 2 Leyline of Vitality and putting the Asceticism to the sideboard

Your squirrels may be formidable, but can they survive against The Fungus Among Us?

Great deck bro, I have a real soft spot for decks based around bizarre creature types. +1

Infral says... #13

Hehe, i'm sure they can survive a wave or two of those Fungus/saps, but it would be a tough one.

And thanks for the rating and keep up the bizarre creatures~

i wouldn't use rys the redemed in this deck instead i would add Doubling Season as all the squirels are most tokens any way just another way to make more and with the earthcraft and squirel nest combo leave more than one squirel untapped for next turn. it also cost one less than rys the redemed's second ability so you could get the combo one turn earlier.

Well, I really don't like neither of them, they will just end up slowing my deck, which i wouldn't want to at all.

It might not be as what I think, but I would rather keep to what I play now and let others do their Doubling Season if they want, all I can say is that I worn't play it in any decks c:

I love Doubling Season and run 3 in my Fungus Among Us deck.I think your squirel deck generates enough tokens and counters, for it to be a worthwhile sideboard at the very least. I have to say Doubling Season stacked with Doubling Season = super win! (4 counters for every 1 counter generated, epic!)

you should add Muraganda Petroglyphs

@ SlyVenom Well of course is Doubling Season nice, especially in your fungus deck, cause it plays with both tokens and counters. My squirrels aren't token regenerating enough for me to find it important to have Doubling Season in the deck and well, when i trigger my infinity combo is there really no need for it, is there?

@ venom3021 Again, a nice card too, but i still don't think i would need it that much, to think of i can end up with infinity tokens and then it really dosn't matter if they are 1/1 or 3/3, but i will atleast add some to the sideboard, cause i know it wil for sure save my ass some time. But thanks for the tip, i forgot all about that card

@Redu That is a very good point, and I see the logic behind it. :D

You can have my pride... but not my nuts. Squirrels are just rats with bushy tails, and they have a thing for deranged hippies, so if I lose to this deck I would say I lost to a rat deck to save face. +1 from me.

I'm sure they got those Cashews of yours already :P

What about something simpler like Overrun or Giant Growth ? I would also recommend a Roughshod Mentor and Vigor , but i'm betting they'll just slow your deck down

OMG I love it! I love decks like this. +1! If playing in a friendly casual game, I would consider using Squirrel Farm . I feel that card fits right into the maddening flavor of the deck. An Overrun or two would help out tons as well.

Infral says... #24

Or you should use the Form of the Squirrel in your casual games, that would be fun times too.

But yeah, I have tried out the Overrun , and I kind of don't think it fit that much in the deck, well it do, but for my playstyle, is it kind of to much. Instead do I have Garruk Wildspeaker and he works out well, both for mana and then the build-in Overrun
