im confused from the comments im judging that Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest is your infinite combo. Correct me if i am wrong, but that combo doesn't work because all those tokens would have "summoning sickness". all creatures upon entering the battlefield have summoning sickness even if they were not " cast". entering the battlefield occurs when ever a card / permanent changes zones in the game that's why flickering is so cool. graveyard to battlefield, exile to battlefield, hand to battlefield, and putting tokens onto the battlefield all count as entering the battlefield. im 99.9% certain of this.

changes zones to the battlefield i mean* and for the record regardless this is still a really cool deck

i love squirrels, so cute, so powerful, shame the actual tokens are $13 ea.im working on my own Squirrel deck, and i love Oran-Rief, the Vastwood for when i play Deranged Hermit . Also, no Adaptive Automaton ? its an elf if you need mana from Joraga Treespeaker or a squirrel, for obvious reasons. although i personally prefer Evolution Charm to Joraga Treespeaker you put a land into the hand then play, less than joraga's T: add GG, but Evolution Charm can also bring back a dead Squirrel Mob or Deranged Hermit , or, flying squirrel :D

Essence Warden now you also have 6,000,000 life.

To emrakooltheawesomeborn:

The squirrels enters the field with summon sickness indeed, but as Earthcraft says, you tap a UNTAPPED creatures, it doesn't care about the card having summoning sickness, so yes, the combo works.

To Baycer:

I really like those ideers and I must say, I've changed the deck quite a bit since last time and I have of course included Adaptive Automaton , I can make a little update for it if it would help? c:

@ Kozelek

Liege of the Hollows Is a card you want to build around, instead of adding it into the list I have now, I've tried to use it, but without any luck, it's simply way to slow and the opponents can quickly turn it into their own benefit.

Brass Herald Worn't work that well either, mostly cause it's expensive to what it does and I have only 1 creature in the deck, which is a squirrel Squirrel Mob , So Adaptive Automaton is still the better choice here, plus, it also becomes a squirrel itself, which the Herald doesn't c:

I really like this. As you know, I too run a Squirrel deck and it's quite a bit slower than yours from the look of things, unfortunately for me. My only real question is, what would you swap out for Asceticism in order to prevent Homing Lightning from ruining your day?

Oh, also, +1. Me gusta.

@Raydaric

I would probably most likely swap it out with my Leylines, mostly cause I will rarely play 'em, if I don't start with them, but that's just me. c:

Got to love the squirrels!

Krosan Beast feels left out. Though, for the life of me I can't see where he'd fit it. This looks like a very fun deck!

Wow, nice. I dig the infinite combo with Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest , that's brilliant. I grew up playing magic with my friend who had a squirrel deck very similar to this except he used Overrun (when we played it was about the time between Urza block and the first Mirrodin block). He beat me EVERY time no matter what deck or strategy I used. I don't think anyone we knew had ever beaten his squirrels. GG+1 for nostalgia. :)

actually Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest isn't an infinite combo because the tokens have summoning sickness so they can't tap to activate Earthcraft s ability. nice deck though +1. also -1 Squirrel Wrangler +1 Coat of Arms .

Infral says... #24

Actually you're wrong, it is in infinite combo. Tapping a untapped creature have nothing to do with summoning sickness, tapping a creature for it's own effect however can't be used, like Arbor Elf No matter what tho', will there always be a single squirrel left, which isn't tapped.
