My guess on the problem you have is you have all these death touch creatures, but most of them are small and slowly take out you opponents health. Also, some cards your using are pretty mana color reliant for a 3 color deck, that can make playing them awkward with your manabase

Deathtouch and First Strike are awesome abilities - especially early in a game when your opponents don't want to lose early creatures. I think you're limiting your deck's playability by searching for creatures that are primarily deathtouch and first strike. If you play some cards like Bow of Nylea, all your creatures will have deathtouch as you attack with them, and you open up a ton of different/scarier creatures. Try to figure out a few ways you want to win with your deck and figure out which cards will get you there.

Ambush Viper and Deadly Recluse are awesome low drops in my opinion, but I can't figure out how you are going to fully take advantage of Glissa, the Traitor if you don't have any artifacts in the deck. Maybe you can find some strong artifacts to boost your creatures to a win, or sub Glissa out for something else like Anafenza, the Foremost, Chorus of the Conclave, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, or Nath of the Gilt-Leaf since they all seem like fun abilities to build a deck around.

Hope this was a little helpful, and good luck!

Executioner's Capsule and Thornbite Staff are prob some of the best cards to go with Glissa

Again thank you for your help!

ClutchWorks Yesterday I've bought 3x Glissa, the Traitor so I'm going to use more artifacts in this deck.

I'm going to use the artifacts that goodair suggested me, but I don't now what to switch.

So what I have to switch is:

3x Don't know what for Glissa, the Traitor

4x Don't know what for Executioner's Capsule

4x Don't know what for Thornbite Staff

Also ClutchWorks what would you recommend to if I use Bow of Nylea?

If I use it should I remove Archetype of Courage and put more First Strike Creatures in my deck?

Hey dude, I like the excitement you got going on with this deck build. I'm not a magic guru here, but I agree with goodair.. Thornbite Staff looks pretty awesome in this deck, especially since you're running a playset of Prey Upon too.

Glissa, the Traitor is only able to recover artifacts from a graveyard, so people you play against are either going to target them or you're going to dredge them yourself - these cards are also going back to your hand. If you think about the cost of Thornbite Staff, it would be 6 mana just to cast and equip it. You're also going to pay two mana and tap to have one of your own creatures do 1 damage to a creature/opponent (better to have that damage come from a deathtouch creature). It's a little expensive to keep having to recast based on Glissa's ability, so try to maximize it's ability the first time you run it and maybe experiment with how many you keep in your deck. The second rule of Thornbite Staff says you can equip it to any Shaman that hits the battlefield (free). Try out cards like Vampire Nighthawk and Mul Daya Channelers because they look like really fun tap/untap combos.

As for cards I'd remove... I think you should get rid of Vengeful Pharaoh first. I only say this because I've been in situations where I'd draw that card over and over - it really slowed down my deck cycling. I also haven't had much success with Abattoir Ghoul just because he's not usually too big of a threat in the 4 MCM group. If you look at the bulk of your decklist, It's primarily green and black. You committed 7 lands to playing white but you only have 3 white cards in the list. You can simplify the deck a little bit by cutting out the white. Even though first strike/deathtouch is really fun to play, you may have better success by cutting out the third color.

Keep me posted on how it goes!

ClutchWorks is right about the shamans and those 2 cards to cut, I thought you had Vampire Nighthawks in your deck already since he is pretty much a auto include in any black/deathtouch deck. It just too good of a card to not have. The Thornbite Staff should only be 2x since you ideally want to see only one.

Swarmyard will make your Deadly Recluse and Typhoid Rats pretty much the biggest pain in the asses. Hornet Nest would be just that much worse if u add some of those

I also agree with cutting the white since it doesn't do much for you and just complicates your mana. The Swarmyard makes some of your creatures unkillable already and the Thornbite Staff is a deathtouch/first strike that can target the problem creatures more reliable.
Viridian Longbow is a equiptment that can replace Thornbite Staff btw, its has much cheaper costs, just doesn't have the untap mechanic, so its up to you to pick either one.

Moonsilver Spear and Scythe of the Wretched are some other equipments that can help you close out a game too

Again thank you both ClutchWorks and goodair!!

I was playing with my deck yesterday against my brother, and I found out you were right about Vengeful Pharaoh and Abattoir Ghoul they werent the right choice in this deck.

The Vampire Nighthawk would be a really good one here, so I will definitely add it!!

goodair, about the Hornet Nest does it mean when the other players creatures attack and I block with it that I get those tokens? If so it would be a massive army with Swarmyard

I think Im going for the Thornbite Staff over the Viridian Longbow because i'm going to put some Shaman creatures in this deck right now. Or do you prefere to add Viridian Longbow?

Right now im going to see what to change to this whole deck. A friend of mine said to me that the Mikaeus, the Unhallowed & Triskelion combo would be great in this deck, what do you say?

Thanks again for your help!!

Now I have to remove some creatures I think, because my mana is to little

November 21, 2014 4:54 a.m.

goodair says... #13

yea you do get the tokens and the bigger the creature is, the more you get. Then you just regenerate him for more use. Since you put the shamans in, id keep the staff. That combo you mentioned is a infinite combo but since your deck has such a low curve. You can get away with a low mana countthat those 2 cards would be really hard to cast. You should look into getting a few cards that can close out a game. The deck you have right now seems good at killing everything. You just need something to finish the game

goodair I was thinking about Stab Wound, it slowly kills the opponent. At the other hand it doesn't fit in this deck.

What about Wurmcoil Engine, Primeval Titan or Grave Titan? Ortherwise maybe I can use a planeswalker? Garruk Relentless  Flip, if I can transform him, I'll get for +1 a 1/1 deathtouch token.

If I would use Wurmcoil Engine since it's a artifact, can I get it back with Glissa, the Traitor?

And what about the artifact, Runechanter's Pike?

November 22, 2014 3:31 a.m.

goodair says... #15

Wurmcoil Engine would be amazinggg here. The Runechanter's Pike would be under whelming considering you wont get much out of it.

November 22, 2014 4:20 a.m.

goodair says... #16

Scuttling Doom Engine is something else that can work

November 22, 2014 5:04 a.m.

Tommeke19 says... #17

That Scuttling Doom Engine is also amazing, because it's also an artifact. But what should I remove now? Should I play 2 of each or just 1 of each?

Now there is just a problem, I think this deck is going more to a deathtouch deck. The only thing that has first strike is Glissa, the Traitor.

So I was thinking about adding more artifacts to get more first strike, what about these artifacts: Akroma's Memorial, Bladed Pinions, No-Dachi, Surestrike Trident, Sword of Vengeance, Viridian Claw, Sharpened Pitchfork (the only thing is I don't play any humans so this is not the best choice, otherwise I only need the first strike so it's pretty cheap I think) or maybe this one Chariot of Victory. I've used the Magic Gatherer to find these artifacts. I had never heard of it about a couple of minutes ago! :-)

I was looking into I like how you keep your board clear by Luutamo and I was thinking about Grave Pact. Because I'm using my 1/1 deathtouch creatures to remove my opponent's creatures, but with the help of Grave Pact my opponent loses 2 creatures now.

November 22, 2014 8:32 a.m.

Aefinn says... #19

That can work too, you just have to be willing to sacrifice your own little deathtouchers :)

November 22, 2014 9:56 a.m.

Tommeke19 says... #20

Yes, ofcourse.. I lose 1 small creature, they lose maybe 1 big creature and an other one.

November 22, 2014 11:17 a.m.

Tommeke19 says... #21

On the other hand, if i'll use more first strike the Grave Pact is useless.. So I don't know whats best

November 22, 2014 12:22 p.m.

goodair says... #22

Sword of Vengeance wouldn't be a bad add in

November 22, 2014 4:34 p.m.

goodair says... #23

I would prob move your 4x Go for the Throat to your side for 2x Sword of Vengeance and another 2x of each artifact creatures. That way you can kill your own to bring them back with glissa for the bonus effect

November 22, 2014 4:40 p.m.

goodair says... #24

You also wanna bring your mana count up

November 22, 2014 4:41 p.m.

Tommeke19 says... #25

So ive added everything. Now i neef more mana, what do i remove goodair
