On the other hand YourRightfulKing I understand your point. In this deck there isn't a lot of first strike. The only thing with first strike is Glissa, the Traitor.

But then there is Thornbite Staff. I can deal 1 damage to an opponents creature, and if I equip it to a deathtouch creature (probably Vampire Nighthawk), I have and kind of First strike/Deathtouch as well.

playtesting against it now with my UW Merfolk I'll let you know it runs a lot better with the dismembers and abrupt decay's in there for consistency. The only major thing to work into at this point would be the lands since duel lands are brutally important in modern

dan8080 thanks for keeping in touch with me! and what lands would you add?

Overgrown Tomb is the main one, Woodland Cemetery is a decent budget ish option, basically land that can come in untapped with certain conditions. if there were more of a life gain aspect in there I'd even say Llanowar Wastes as a possibility.

I'm a bit new to Magic, but I would suggest Ring of Xathrid, so you can regenerate your deathtouch creatures as opposed to first strike. Plus, it has a nice boost for black creatures.

I think it might be worth it to rework this deck to splash white for Archetype of Courage

as he solves a lot of problems.

Also why not Deadly Allure

Plus what's better than a Deadly Allure cast on a Dread Slaver

Maybe Dread Slaver is not the most practical suggestion, but one of the funnest .

poxnorakill I'll like that Ring of Xathrid for now I'm just adding it to may maybeboard ;-)

HughBalzac In the beginning of this deck I've used white in it. But when I used white I got a little stuck at turn 4/5, it just won't get better. They've said to me to cut it to 2 colors, and so I did.

What I'm using now instead of First Strike is some artifacts like Sword of Vengeance & Thornbite Staff. So with Sword of Vengeance I get first strike. And with Thornbite Staff I get something the same, if I add it on a deathtouch creature it deals 1 deathtouch damage.

Sup ThisIsTheSix! I really dig the way this deck has come along from when you first posted it. You got a lot of really badass feedback from the community. I was one of the people to recommend getting rid of the white splash when this deck was first posted HughBalzac. Initially, this deck didn't have a distinct focus and the white didn't support the playability overall. Archetype of Courage was one of the first cards in question, and even though its a bomb ass card.. it didn't fit in my opinion. There's nothing wrong with splashing white again, but I'm pretty sure it's going to change the entire way it feels when you're playing your deck. I'm pretty new to magic too and definitely no pro, but if you're having fun with these new combos then I would refine rather than opening the door to a completely new color range.

Your deck has a crazy potential to limit the creature spread on the battlefield, and I agree with dan8080 on his Dismember recommendation since indestructibles are too popular with my friends. One of my favorite decks to play with right now reanimates Angel of Serenity, Angel of Despair, Shadowborn Demon, and Rune-Scarred Demon with tools like Cloudshift, Whip of Erebos, Obzedat's Aid, and Conjurer's Closet so I understand exactly how fun it is piss off your friends lol. I haven't really built an artifacts based deck yet, but I'm taking a serious interest in the Thornbite Staff + 1 direct deathtouch damage combo you've worked in here - it lends well to the untap/time control theme I want to build on next.

Hope this deck is playing better than it started out for ya!

ClutchWorks is right about how far this deck has come along from the original list. Stick to two colors since Glissa, the Traitor was the main card you wanted to focus on. She is very mana heavy and splashing a third color will just hurt. I forgot to mention a interaction with death touch and trample. I believe you can assign one point of damage to the creature and the rest of it to the player which makes Sword of Vengeance a better fit that just first strike. You should double check incase there was a rule change though. This helps you close out games easier and still have the deathtouch/first strike theme you like. You should add Liliana's Reaver to your sideboard at least incase your up against someone with a lot of spells. This way they are forced to kill it right away or slowly discard cards as you swing in and make tokens.

Thanks for stopping by ClutchWorks and goodair It's fun to see you're still 'enjoying' this deck!

goodair there already was somebody that told me to use Liliana's Reaver, I can't remember who, but I refused it than. Now because of the Sword of Vengeance you just told me, it would work great with it Liliana's Reaver. So I'll definitely add it to my side.

The best card for glissa decks is by far Deadly Allure. All the awesome of her FSDT is unleashed with it.

Here are a couple of more good suggestions for her:

Boza thanks for the feedback. The Deadly Allure is almost the same as Prey Upon (which I use in my sideboard) except the flashback.

The reason why I'm not playing it in my main is because of the Thornbite Staff. With this artifact I can Kill any creature aswell.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Luutamo Thanks for all the feedback!! ;-)

Deathbringer Thoctar and Basilisk Collar is a nice combo if you want red in the deck.red has a lot of other card like this too, like Goblin Sharpshooter

Tommeke19 says... #19

kizer5 The combo will work very well in this deck! But I'm going to stick with these 2 colors.

Because at the beginning of this deck I was running 3 colors (B/W/G), when I was running those 3 colors I get stuck everytime at turn 4/5/6. With the help I got from the community here I removed white and now my deck is running much better!!

Thanks anyway for getting in to this deck! ;-)

Might consider Rogue's Passage for Vraska the Unseen's tokens. If you can't use it for that it's always useful to let Wurmcoil Engine get a hit in.

Also if you could get your hands on a Garruk, Apex Predator he can summon deathtouch creatures and also remove pesky planeswalkers. He may be more of a sideboard for opponents using planeswalkers in their deck but can never go wrong with Garruk. Also if you can get his ultimate deathtouch make trample run right over their creatures. Which reminds me, Nylea, God of the Hunt is also a fantastic idea.

Last comment I promise. Ogre Slumlord can help with this considering creatures will die. Pharika, God of Affliction is also a way to capitalize on graveyards. Lastly, Reaper of the Wilds could also be a big help. Okay I'm done.

Hi MackAttack, thanks for your help!! Im not sure about adding Ogre Slumlord & Pharika, God of Affliction.

But the other suggestions are realy worth adding! But what do you suggest to remove?

Wasteland Viper seems like a pretty straight upgrade to Typhoid Rats.
