I was gonna make a huge comment about how having too many shocks can hurt you pretty bad, but I forgot that the point of the deck is getting to a small life total xD But I would suggest to only put 1 Urborg, since having to sac a land because you drew a second urborg sucks. Seems like an amazing deck to play, might build it myself. I hope this deck makes it far! :)

isn't Sphinx's Revelation a must to draw cards and gaining you life to battle the burn deck. i mean that it seems to be a very good card in a slow grindy control deck

Dig Through Time is a better card in Modern, but I do think Rev should replace one because the card can get clunky and the lifegain + potential extra card draw is nice to have access to.

Sphinx's Revelation is not a modern card. It is a standard card. Notice how it is only $6. It used to be around $20-$30 for the time it was standard legal when Azorius control was the deck that defined standard. Sphinx's Revelation is far too slow for modern. I generally have at most maybe 7 lands out at a time? Liliana of the Veil discards any excess lands that I might have. On another aspect, Dig Through Time is so much better because it costs so much less. 2, 3, 4, 5 or even for 6 mana, it is far superior to Sphinx's Revelation because I get to dig 7 cards and get 2 answers out, which has a much higher turn out than Sphinx's Revelationing for say 6 and getting 3 cards unfiltered. The life gain is also dismal, 2-5 life from a sphinx? Not worth it. I'd rather side in Leyline of Sanctity. I'm also not supposed to be gaining life. I have to get myself to 1 after all. Finally, Dig Through Time's ultimate ability is to be able to get a surprise response to whatever my opponent is playing. Since it usually costs 2-4 mana, I can easily dig through 7 cards in my library to get an answer I need. Sphinx's Revelations costs far too much to be able to do that in a fast format like modern.

I can see the need for Dig over Rev in that you are a combo deck. However, it's rather silly to say Sphinx's Revelation isn't a Modern card. Jeskai Control decks almost always maindeck a single copy, and it's very good given a metagame full of aggressive creature decks. It is slow, but having access to the incidental lifegain in addition to more raw card advantage is much more powerful than you give it credit for.

In Jeskai control, I can see it, because they have the mana base for it, but for me, Lili eats my lands, so the purpose and power of Sphinx's Revelation is only their by a factor of what Jeskai control sees it as.

Hex Parasite seems good here cuz if ur at an odd life total, you can just pay until ur at 1 life. Also it kills walkers really well

It has to have a target though llamaglama01, which thus does not make it as good, nor does it have any viable targets 75% of the time, AND it is worthless even if all those conditions are met 50% of the time.

On a point of fact regards Hex Parasite it targets permanents, not counters, so even if there is no counter on the permanent it's ability can still be activated. Spoils of the Vault may also be of use to you, it can get your Near-Death Experience, and help fuel the life loss to get to 1 life.

The deck is scrapped Lumina_Rose. It doesn't work without Dig Through Time.
