Mind Grind is only effective as an infinite mana outlet, and because it costs two colored mana there are a lot better options than that (Stroke of Genius, for example). Basically I'm trying to minimize that amount of so called dead cards, which don't help me at all outside of comboing.
Ancient Excavation might work well in a budget deck, but I'd rather focus on more cheaper card draw effects; Night's Whisper, Windfall etc.

cosmicteapot okay, cool. this thing looks dirty as hell btw. I was just thinking of Mind Grind because it effects opponentS. I'm finding that the better the cards i have in my deck, the less i actually even want to cast oona, she'd be great if i could use those faeries more effectively, it seems infinite mana is the way to go with her.

Are you going to put in any cards from aether revolt? Disallow or even Whir of Invention seem like they would be good (I guess trip blue might be a turn off)

Actually, you don't need a wishboard in EDH for Cunning/Death Wish. From Gatherer: "10/1/2009 In a sanctioned event, a card thats outside the game is one thats in your sideboard. In an unsanctioned event, you may choose any card from your collection."Your EDH games, I assume, are unsanctioned.

also, i'm honing an oona deck of my own (havent updated on tappedout) and i was wondering what you thought about ancient excavation? i'm not trying to drop as much money as you did haha, so i've got to be a little more conservative
