Hey I use the same commander in my deck. Mine is less focused on milling the opponents. But I have nice combo in there which I think belongs in any blue deck. Omniscience and Enter the Infinite make a devastating combo. Plus if you add in a Platinum Angel you can't lose. Also if you need infinite mana of any color Composite Golem and Nim Deathmantle is the best combo for that.

In my previous comment I mentioned the infinite mana but forgot to say why. With infinite mana you can use Oona's ability and just exile every opponents deck as soon as you play the Composite Golem and the Nim Deathmantle

You can't run Composite Golem in a U/B deck because it has a color identity of 5 color.

Training Grounds does work with Oona, Queen of the Fae
When you activate her ability, you choose x to be 2. Essentially, for every U or B you tap, you will exile 2 cards. You can repeat that for as long as you have U or B available.

What about Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar? Technically, under good conditions, you can pay blue/black, sac all the faeries you got with Oona before, and then create a bunch more faeries. Then repeat the process over and over, as long as you can keep making faeries.

What about infinite mana combos? They seem to be a good win con with Oona.
Sth. like Grim Monolith or Basalt Monolith combined with Power Artifact, or Palinchron with Deadeye Navigator or High Tide.
Your Rings of Brighthearth would make a decent combo with Grim Monolith or Basalt Monolith too.
Since you have black you can have enough tutors to make this work.
And why no Helm of Obedience if you run the Leyline? Without combo kills mill decks have a hard time in Commander because of those self reshuffling cards like Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre.
I would personally suggest to add more counters if you want to run mill since people will hate you and try to get rid of your mill engines and your commander and you don't want your commander to get even more expensive in mana since her costs are already high.
I hope this helped. Greets MA.

I feel like a bit more graveyard hate would be good, just because things like Varolz, the Scar-Striped.

Meh, I haven't run into any issues with lack of grave hate. Sure I only have 3 pieces but I've got many ways to tutor them up.

nice deck, oona is certainly fun! i went a different rout than you but your deck seems fun too! there are so many good fairy cards out there that you should consider though in my opinion! My deck:

this is my oona take you should check it out and leave any comments to help make it more fun! one thing i would say though is to look at my land base for some good "one of" lands!

Wow, there's been a lot of discussion on this page. I haven't been active here since about 2014, but I'm planning to get back into edh. I had previously shyed away from infinite mana combos in this deck because it was too Spike for my playgroup. But I'm moving cities and expect that I'll need something more aggressive until I find a regular playgroup. In the coming days I'll be looking at all the sets I've missed to look for changes and to take this in a new direction! Thanks for your comments.

Have you considered Spellstutter Sprite and Fraying Sanity? Fraying sanity seems insane in this deck.

Spellstutter Sprite used to be in the deck until I cut the faerie subtheme, it got replaced with a more reliable counterspell.
Fraying Sanity would be awesome but I just hate the curse mechanic in EDH because it only affects one opponent. If it was a global enchantment that affected each opponent I would absolutely run it, if it was target opponent I would still run it, but the fact that I have to choose one opponent when I cast it and I can't move it around makes me not want to run it.

Makes sense curses can be kind of mean and EDH is for fun. Great deck by the way.

Ashnod's Altar is great because you can make faeries from the mill then use the faeries to mill more and repeat. Also if you have Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos out then you get to board wipe at the same time.

Maybe Duskmantle Guildmage for the three mana ability to sometimes do massive damage out of no where.

Ashnod's Altar . It has won me games. Against one or two color decks you get to keep using it with Oona's ability to mill for a ton. Besides that it is very efficient.

Now that Painter's Servant has been officially unbanned, it is a 100% include for any Oona deck. It turns every card you mill with her into a guaranteed hit, spawning you as many faeries as mana you put into her ability. I'd suggest cutting one of your 6 different board wipes for it, specifically Crux of Fate , seeing as how most decks/games usually only need a max of four boardwipes from my experience. I don't know what your playgroup is like, but six seems like a bit much for anything that isn't a hard control deck (which I can get behind)
Other than that, I'm just going to agree with all the other comments that are saying Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar . Both turn your faeries directly into faeries+mill, which I think turns out pretty well, generally speaking. An overwhelming board presence of even just 1/1 fliers is a great secondary win con for any of those pesky hexproof decks, however rare they may be. Or they may just chump their puny lives away, whichever works better.
Other than that, I really like the list. I'm starting to build my own Oona deck with Throne of Eldraine on the horizon, and I'm not quite sure how competitive I want it to be. Hope this all helps for you!

Helm is underwhelming without comboing with Leyline and I don't intend to put any 2 card instant win combos in the deck.
