Predator Ooze came out to play one last time with his buddies Experiment One and Scavenging Ooze.
I Brought this to the MDSS $2K open instead of the What's Black White and RED all over?! which was my original plan. The B/W/R deck performed poorly at FNM last night, so at 10:30 pm, I came home with the woman, let her do her thing on her new tablet, while I concocted a new deck (being this one). I was looking for something fast and resilient, and this is the list I came up with. Finished building it and putting it together by midnight and headed right to bed, as I had to be up at 4:30 am to get on the road to Ottawa to play the tournament.
Overall, I'm very happy with how it played out, I finished the day with a 5-2 record, but I was inches away from the top 8 where a couple pro's were including Alex Hayne. I was 4-1 going into round 6, where I got the feature match and ended up losing it in game 3 where he had a great draw and back to back Fiend Hunter and Banisher Priest my 2 Loxodon Smiter and took off from there. That match put either of us in the top 8. Oh well, there's always next time!
If you want to scope it out you can check it out below (I'm not sure how to make it a hyper-link) the feature matches on the Mana Deprived site, we were Match 6 as I mentioned and my name is Adam.

I do find it funny that they named my deck GW Archangel when I only ran 2... In the sideboard! She did help me stabilize that match up to take game 2 though.
Thanks for popping by and +1 if ya like the deck, only has 2 weeks left of life in it, but there's lots of good gems to replace kicking around and still to come in Theros!
Note: This tournament was insanely populated by Golgari Mutilate decks, probably 2/5 people were playing it. I did beat it both match ups I played though, and some consider it to be the best deck in standard ATM, well for 2 more weeks that is.
