My only hesitation with running too many colorless lands is that my most impactful plays are during the first three turns, so I desperately need my colors. do you think running those two plus the filters would still net me my colors that early?

You have very good mana fixing, if you are worried still you should put in more nonlands instead of basics. Iv'e found that the more utilitarian you can make your landbase, the more responsive the deck will be. Thats why i like crop rotation so much

villlainous wealth is a card i think you should try out as well, late game powerhouse! also if you make infinite mana, you can play someones entire deck, which is the best thing ever

Frantic Search can also replace compulsive research, which is a straight upgrade

I played Villainous Wealth for a while, but ended up taking it out after I combo-ed off so hard i went infinite, cast it for a kill, then recurred it by flickering Eternal Witness and then took everyone out at once. my whole playgroup was pissy, so i side it in if im playing for keeps, but otherwise it stays out.

Frantic Search isn't exactly an upgrade if you don't have a hand and are needing to draw. I've considered it before, and i might give it a try, but sometimes i do use it just for drawing sake if im in a bad spot, and it lets you draw 3 instead of 2.

and thanks about the mana compliment! i do feel like i wouldn't want to cut out too much more mana. 35 is already kinda low. but seriously, I'm concerned about filters. what is your opinion on them?

it's the same reason I stopped playing Cephalid Coliseum. i had no hand and nothing else to do, so i did it and lost two cards that would've saved me had I waited

It might do the deck a lot of good if you put fact or fiction and brainstorm and ancestral vision in

maybe, I could use draw, but i tend to utilize creatures for that, so if I did i think id throw Sphinx of Uthuun back in instead of fact or fiction

Well Voidslime could replace taigam's scheming, and counterspell could replace glimpse of the unthinkable. For card draw you could replace creature jace with enclave cryptologist, but i would recommend both of them. also you should look into the cards life's finaly and putrefy

I'd say Sylvan Caryatid for a reliable mana dork and, of course, the wonderful Chromatic Lantern since your deck utilizes all 3 of its colors pretty evenly. +1 from me! (:

those are good, i just don't know what would come out for them! And my only issue with caryatid would be that i don't usually cast creatures, so I feel like it might be dead in the grave more often than not.
