When your buddy plays Thief of Blood, you can take all the counters he removed from your creatures with Bioshift. (If you have it in hand of course)

I don't thing so, in the wording of Bioshift (Move any number of +1/+1 counters from target creature onto another target creature with the same controller.) The last 2 words make it so that I can't get the counters back, but I can however move them off of Thief of Blood and onto something else they control, preferably something that dose not have flying.
Luckily the deck normally wins before my opponent has 6 mana to play it.

Nice Job! I really like this, though it would be hard to get the perfect case scenarios, but there are still a fair amount of effective combos. Also, I like marker decks (+1/+1 counter), and this is proof that they can be somewhat competitive! Thanks!

Hay thanks, but to be honest I never actually set out to make a competitive deck. All I wanted to do was make a deck that used Slumbering Dragon and here it is now, one of my best decks with over 6000 views. Thanks so much.

Llanowar Reborn is a good card, but I would rather run something like Oran-Rief, the Vastwood. The reason I don't have ether, is because having the land enter taped for just 1 additional counter is not worth it in my mind.

Nice deck idea!
But I see a problem casting Slumbering Dragon early on with just 6 red mana sources, realistically you won't have red mana till turn 3 or 4. Need Stomping Ground

I dunno if there is room for Hangarback Walker but I feel like it could go well in the deck.

Looks like a really fun deck! And I have a lot of those cards without a deck, gonna try it next time I play Magic with my friends! +1

That is awesome! I would love to hear how it does.

This looks more like a Magical Christmas Land deck to me.

OH MY GOD.
I instantly fell in love with both Predator Ooze and Bow of Nylea and bought sets of the Ooze and a one-of Nylea when i saw them like a year or two ago but never could make them work. I now can!
You know what those two need? Those two need to Lure people in.
July 20, 2017 4:19 p.m.
Well I am sure happy to have been a help. And I'll be honest here I always forgetting Bow of Nylea gives deathtouch, but I do really like that combo using Lure with it. Ill be sure to keep that one in mind for when next I am building decks.

4/5 hands I didn't get any red mana, and the deck did nothing.

I dunno. Lots of hands I either lack a dragon or the mana to cast him. 4 source of red mana in a 60 card deck doesn't give you great odds of getting red mana in the first 10 cards...
August 24, 2017 3:11 a.m.
I honestly don't know what to say, there is 6 sources or red mana in the deck, and statistically speaking that is over a 50% chance of having one in your opening hand. (And one is really all you need)
Truthfully the mana base for this deck is not particularity good however its main selling feature is the budget cost. This deck would likely work a lot better with a mana base like:
3 Mountain
10x Forest
But that mana base alone is more then the entire deck. and so I had to make some gritty big compromises to keep this in the 60$ range.

I just didn't find the deck is consistent. Getting the appropriate mana and the dragon at the same time doesn't happen often enough, and Blessings of Nature is a dead card if you don't have a creature to target on the turn you draw it. And yeah, Fetch lands would help it. Evolving Wilds are usually a good budget alternative to them. I run 4 in a lot of decks, at least the ones that can handle taking a turn for tapped mana.
This deck seems really brutal when it works. Boh Predator Ooze and Slumbering Dragon can scale off real fast. But I kept having this problem with test draws where I'd either get the red mana or I'd get the dragon, not both. Maybe consider dropping Tuskguard Captain for Bloodhall Ooze? Rakdos Cacklers and Bloodhall Oozes could scale off pretty quickly in a deck like this with a minor tweak to the mana base. At three mana I think the Tuskgaurd is a little slow, particularly since the dragon already has flying and the ooze already has trample. Kird Ape would be another creature to consider, since he's high value in R/G, and certain printings are inexpensive. Doesn't really fit with your +1/+1s though, less value in the late game.

Err wait. NVM Predator Ooze isn't already tramply. Everybody just put Rancor on it when it was in standard and I remembered it wrong XD

Well thanks for all the input , but I don't think I will be changing this deck for the simple reason as it is in a lot of peoples deck folders, and i don't want to have them come back to it being different. However feel free to take and mod my deck concept however you want, and hope you will be able to create something that works for you.

If you like cards like Prey Upon for removal, I would suggest Blood. It can also be used to hit the opponent for direct damage, and does not actually put your creature in danger by fighting.
Also is 19 lands enough? Except for hyper aggro, and especially for 2 colors, I would want at least 20 lands
