Life gain/drain, with a smidge of token production, card drawing, and a lot of sacrifice to get what one wants.

Combos My favorite combo in the deck goes like this: Sheoldred, Whispering One must be on the battlefield. Play Clone Shell and hope a critter is one of the four cards (if not, continue as planned and hope it works out next time). Sacrifice Clone Shell using one of the sacrifice cards (Cartel Aristocrat, Phyrexian Vault, Consuming Vapors, Trading Post, Ghost Council of Orzhova or Barter in Blood) et voila - get a free critter. Bring Clone Shell back using Sheoldred, Whispering One during the next turn, and start the process over. If I add Reya Dawnbringer this card would also work to resurrect Clone Shell each turn. It's mostly just a fun way to get creatures out without having to pay for them. This combo also adds plenty of eyeballs to Jar of Eyeballs (which is truly one of my favorite cards).

Because I'm terrible, I also have the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond combo, but I usually don't put both enchantments out at the same time because I don't enjoy insta-win combos (but my friends have them in their decks, so alas).

Devout Chaplain and Xathrid Gorgon work together quite nicely for creature and artifact removal (if I have enough humans/human tokens out).

I'm very open to suggestions, with the caveat that they not be too expensive because I'm poor. Cards in the Maybeboard are ones that I have but am not sure if I should include them.
