I think that's a good call, however a play set of Declaration in Stone would set me back a little bit since it just spiked. Plus I just traded one away for a Westvale Abbey Flip. Aven Sunstriker, however, I'll try to slot in even though it's another 3 drop. Thanks for the critique!

Came for the name, stayed for the deck. +1
Not really too sure about Rancid Rats in here, but then again, I'm just not a huge fan of Skulk. What might be better than Skulk, though, is Menace (with a certain Relentless Dead coming to mind). Just food for thought though. How has the deck worked for you so far?

Really well! I unfortunately haven't been able to try it at my local FNM, but I play casually with a group of friends and it holds its own.

I would suggest dropping the Aven Sunstriker for either Arashin Foremost or Drana, Liberator of Malakir. I get that you want it because it flies and because it has double strike, but the mana costs are way too high for a creature that is either 1/1 or 2/2 (which is undoubtedly what you're after, the 2/2). Arashin Foremost has the exact same mana cost and is a 2/2 with double strike. No flying, true, but the double strike is there. Maybe replace x2 of the Consul's Lieutenant with x2 Drana, Liberator of Malakir and this would add more fliers.
I would also recommend Secure the Wastes to easily put in creatures at instant speed. Couple that with Odric and a couple of your other creatures and you have an instant army of deadly.
I have a similar deck you might be able to use for ideas: B/W Token generating machine

Great suggestions, I often find that Aven Sunstriker isn't enough

I'd put Secure the Wastes too, to abuse the combat effects plus it puts you closer to flipping Westvale Abbey Flip. Maybe cut down 2 Anguished Unmaking for 2 Secute the Wastes I don't know. I just want to see a bunch of 1/1s gaining you life and killing you opponent's life and creatures.

Aven Sunstriker is better for you than Arashin Foremost I think.

What about the new Gisela? Lifelink would certainly be something and you would also get the mini-Baneslayer Angel.

Vampire Nighthawk, Gurmag Swiftwing, Fencing Ace, Elite Inquisitor, Akroan Skyguard, and Fiendslayer Paladin are all keyword heavy creatures for 3 or less mana that fit into a B/W deck. One of the Gideon planeswalkers would be solid as well, several have the ability to turn him into an Indestructible Soldier Creature, just activate the loyalty ability before your combat step so it gets picked up by Odric... Might be more user-friendly than Westvale Abbey Flip. I like the idea though.

You may also like Beseech the Queen to tutor Odric. I am a big fan of Zealous Persecution in B/W decks, and Foul-Tongue Shriek can be useful in decks that utilize swings with multiple creatures.

I do like the suggestions, but this deck was originally geared towards standard. However, if I decide to jump down to modern I will incorporate them. Thanks!

I have a deck that is sort of similar to this one. With a lot of the same cards. I personally recommend putting in Markov Dreadknight, which will provide you with a 3/3 flier (enter Odric) and you can give him +2/+2 for 3 mana and discarding a card.

See I had markov dread knight but i just found that he was too expensive and dragged my curve down

huschli I have thought about that, yes. If I was to come down to legacy, I would definitely add Dark Ritual and Hymn to Tourach like my Relentless Rats deck. Vindicate would probably replace Oblivion Ring.

Have you thought about being a terrible person and throwing in some infect?

Blinkmoth Nexus would be solid if your mana is okay, then Flensermite and to an extent Blackcleave Goblin would fit the bill too. Heck even a Tainted Strike could be brutal at the right moment

I'd drop the Blessings for 4 declaration in stones. I'd drop the inspector (yes I know everyone loves her, but they love her for reasons you'll hate her) for another card with keywords, the one I think you'd really like is the Aven Sunstriker, it's got flying and double strike, put that on with your Marshal and suddenly you're doing some serious damage in the sky.
