Check the maybeboard and doing your best on the manabase. Check fastlands, pains, battlebonds and maybe another island or swamp.

Are we running Underworld Breach just for value or is there any point in going for the LED line? Also rip Waste Not :( I really like that card tho, 2cmc for a wheel payoff is bonkers.

impendio - Underworld Breach and Wheel of Fortune function as a repeatable effect for only one red mana and three exiled cards (as WoF automatically provides you with the card fodder via its resolution).
Waste Not was a nonbo with Notion Thief/Alms Collector as Waste Not only gained you advantage off of the volume of discarded cards by each opponent.

Hi there, I've been playing this deck for quite a while now, and I'd like to thank you for creating it and your overall contribution to the community. I've changed the deck quite a bit to be balanced to my meta, but outside of the meta cards I'd like to bring to your attention a few cards that I've found quite useful. Scroll Rack being number one, this card turns wheels from 7 cards off the top to 14 cards, and 20 card Necromancy draws into 40+ cards off the top, and so on. This card has been my personal MVP and will never leave my 98. Next is Kess, she has been criminal in my meta and maybe it's because of how my Opus Thief has evolved but again, another card that will not budge from my list. Last card would be Bitter Ordeal. Partnered alongside Smothering Tithe and Dockside Extortionists, the sacrificed treasures has made Gravestorm enough to take all three players out of the game. It's not a set in stone card but it's a beautiful synergy. The meta I'm in has become slow and grindy, creature heavy, stax heavy, lots of Thrasios/X, Kenrith, Tasigur...
I have to ask your personal opinion about some card choices. Is Lions Eye Diamond an Avenue you would take with Underworld Breach, or is the risk too high? Have you considered playing an Opus Thief deck with a higher stax density? What would the stax package look like? Is Lab Maniac necessary with Thassas Oracle, or do you find it an optional cut? Thank you for any insight.

LED is too risky for my personal preference but it's definitely viable to run if you don't mind the high risk lines or your meta is light on blue.
See my more stax/midrange Opus Thief experiment here: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/blood-thief-1/
I like having all of LabMan, Jace, and Oracle so I have more and less risky ways of threatening wins. You can cut LabMan if you like.

testing this build, and will probably make meta changes. First, LED is surely going to slot in since blue decks aren't that prevalent although i haven't thought of what to drop just yet. will probably drop labman and replace imperial seal with scroll rack since i don't have the seal. I am already playing dark deal in place of timetwister as well. i may replace pyroclasm with echo of eons (still need to test that change, and i know it doesn't play well with Ad Naus) and looking at Past in Flames over Yawgmoth's will. I had been playing a neheb (WAR) - that was basically wheel/Led extra attack, but being mono red it felt so limited. Also thinking of adding azorius signet for more ramp and maybe try and see how to fit in dramatic/scepter so i don't have to rely to much on smothering tithe for the mana influx....thoughts?

How do you feel about Wear//Tear, Hide//Seek or Anguished Unmaking ? As more disruption.

Yurra Yes, no, no. And StP I just don't have a spare slot for and would probably paly another noncreature counter first.

Breach + LED + brainfreeze can just take out the table. I think LED is def high risk but worth it

pssst
you don't have Tymna and Kraum set as the commanders

Are we now running Deafening Clarion just to hit Drannith Magistrate?
In any case shouldn't we be running magistrate as well, specially with stuff like Suppression Field in the maybeboard?

Hi.
Love you work btw. I have a question - How would you compare this deck to Kenrith thiefs that you created? My meta is a bit slower, mid ranged disruption so I was wondering which deck is more adaptive/resiliant in later games. I guess Tymna and Kraum provide sheer value, but does green maybe provide more consistency in slower plays?
P.S. I asked simmilar question on Opus Thief thread, so you can answer on eather ;)

Both are very strong. I prefer the commanders of Opus in terms of value grind.

ShaperSavant so I just picked up a nice chunk of Ikoria, and I’ve been hearing thoughts about Rielle, the Everwise. Does it have potential in the 99 as another wheel payoff?
Also, how does Opus Thief fare against Drannith Magistrate?

What are your thoughts on the new commander legends creature that is just smothering tithe thief?

N00best it's honestly kinda a really big boon to the deck, giving us another great option, but might be so ubiquitous that it ends up actively hurting the deck if we see this against us.

Speaking of Commander Legends, do you think that Opposition Agent will find its way into Opus Thief?

What are good replacements for the ABUR duals, timetwister and imperial seal? I'm on a bit of a budget and wont be able to purchase them for about another year or 2
