With your long games, Flagstones of Trokair being legendary will be very detrimental, replace all but one with Plains. Also, consider Forbidden Orchard since you will fog their creature anyway. Lastly, what is the Path to Exile for, shouldn't your opponent's creatures just be dealt with by fog? Other than those minor changes, I like it. I look forward to the finished product.

Why on Earth should I run less than a playset of Flagstones? It is great deck thinning which doesn't hurt my mana base at all. And yeah, I agree about path and orchard.

But you don't want to thin a deck that needs six mana fast. Also, Fetchlands do the job better since the plains would enter untapped

very interesting deck interesting choice of win condition, i also play a turbo dug deck in modern and i actually find more often than not my primary win condition is the howling mine's are yu finding the same? and have you thought about kami of false hope? its nice to play it ono turn one and have a standing fog effect available for the turn(s) you want to tap out for a combo piece

heres my version: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/platinum-position/

Not really, just because my wincon isn't like Emrakul or Karn Liberated in that I can instant speed cast it and insta-win and relatively little mana. I also like that it shuffles back into my library, so I can cast it on myself if I don't have Tainted Remedy and I immediately need some lifegain. But that would be pretty funny and likely effective to run bant Turbog fog with all the mutual draw permanents and maybe a 2 of Talent of the Telepath. I like this though, I think it's pretty fast as goes TurboFog.

Also, I prefer having no creatures over a very few just because of the sheer amount of removal people play. I also considered Wall of Shards and Children of Korlis, but came to the same conclusion.

Good logic on going creatureless, I run few creatures in my build for the same reason. Also, i like the changes you made

chuckles9876789, I kept thinking about what you said... And I just couldn't get past it. Something about winning via draw out... So, I did this instead. I think it is a lot more efficient since It is basically a "one card combo" Since all the auxiliary draw is in here anyway (That's TurboFog for ya!). What do you think?

I like this addition

August 7, 2015 3:03 p.m.

i like it! i can't remember the blue dictate from theres block but that would fit well here as well, and maybe a couple reliquary tower?

August 7, 2015 10:38 p.m.

It's called Dictate of Kruphix. My only concern about it is the I was thinking the same thing about the tower.

In my opinion, Remand could be better in your deck in exchange of Muddle the Mixture. It also gives you an extra draw and activate Sphinx's Tutelage.

Id play Leyline of Sanctity for burn decks.

well, thats all for now haha

nice deck man, +1

sorry for my bad english XD

August 6, 2016 12:53 a.m.

Your English was perfect actually, like, technically activates should be plural since the verb is singular and you missed some punctuation & capitalization but, honestly, in this context, nobody cares.

The only thing with Leyline is that is it $13.... against most burn decks I was thinking Pulse of the Fields but yeah, I guess if I'm being serious about Modern I should spring the extra $50 d:

There are alternatives- most comptetitive naya burn is running an almost all-mountain manabase making Sanctimony very strong, and Sun Droplet can completely negate a lot of the damage they deal- You worry less when 'bolt hits you for effectively 1. The negates and counterspells go a long way, but I'd consider Tormod's Crypt or Relic of Progenitus as an alternative in a graveyard heavy metagame- the important thing to remember with sideboarding is that it is all constext dependent- I've won a few fridays by siding in Mimic Vat because of the combos that people have been running, so relax on the sideboarding and pay attention to what other folks play, and what can hit multiple of them hard. List of Modern Sideboard Staples can be useful. Sometimes a well placed Shadow of Doubt is all it takes, and the best way to recognise that is to just play a bunch.

Thank you, I think that I'll keep as my anti-burn side leyline since that shuts down other things too, but I went over that list and I am definitely going to put Faith's Shield in my side... protect all my things for the turn usually. Thanks a bunch... and I see why graveyard hate could help me out here haha.

And thanks, I'll be sure to keep an eye open towards what I'm playing against

lagotripha, could you help me with something? I need a second brain. I'm debating whether I should go -2 Pollen Lullaby, +1 Remand and +1 Isochron Scepter. On one hand I hate decreasing the number of fogs I have, but bringing it to 20 from the current 22 is minute and Remand draws cards anyway and Isochron Scepter usually is a repeatable permanent Fog, but on the other hand Pollen Lullaby is right behind Angel's Grace and Dawn Charm on the list of "Fogs I want to exile under Isochron Scepter." Remand is also a good Scepter imprint, but lower priority. Plus then I'd have extra sideboard space, probably would become Negate for now.

What do you think? Worth it?

Isochron scepter is vulnrable to Atarka's Command and artifact hate is very common thanks to the metagame, so a lot of the time it just reads 'pay two more and discard a card to cast a spell'- Its great once that is out of the way but hopefully the mines and bells will attract the attention. Counterspells would be a good call, but I'm not so sure about remand being the right choice- most of the things you care about countering you don't want cast the next turn either, and unless you want to counter the same spell every turn with it imprinted on a scepter (risky), that lack of permanancy on remand is gonna hurt. Personally, I'd want something like Mana Leak,Dismiss,Last Word, but most of all Spell Burst would be useful because of it's repeatability at 5-6 mana. Give a pair of Spell Burst a try as a replacement.

August 9, 2016 3:06 a.m.

I decided to just go Path to Exile instead since it's 1 mana exiling spot removal and I usually find myself using most of my mana.

August 9, 2016 1:41 p.m.

EDIT:I decided to main 3 Faith's Shield, since it protects my shit (more important) and is a fog-named-color at 5 or less life (which is pretty common for this deck, really).

I sided a set of Path to Exile.

Why is your deck called what it is? I live in Oregon, so I can at least attest to its accuracy XD

August 22, 2016 4:09 p.m.

I am from Western North Carolina, but what I have been told by a friend who went to college in (I think) Portland is that you have a weather variant there, at least in the west of the state, which she described as "mist, but with a downward direction." Not quite "rain," just downward mist. And she said y'all call it Oregon Rain. Which struck me as appropriate for Turbofog haha.

Moonbar says... #22

Very true. It's awful weather here most of the time. I like the deck though, so +1 from me.

August 22, 2016 4:25 p.m.

Thank you. I have the best weather in the world here. In the summer it's cool until around mid day, then it gets hot so we take a siesta of sorts until along in the late afternoon everyday there will be a thunderstorm for about an hour which cools it off, then we go and have supper outside (I live in the country, but like, that's most of Western North Carolina). Then in the Winter it usually hovers in the forties, getting to the low fifties around midday when we can go out and work, dropping down to the twenties at night, and we put in a fire in the late afternoon/early evening to keep the house warm and leave it overnight so the house is cool but not cold in the morning.

I completely assume that everyone in the world ought to be jealous of our weather lol.

That sounds very nice. In terms of MTG, I think that the deck is cool but that Tormod's Crypt in SB as a 4-of seems weird. Do you really have that bad of a dredge matchup? I would also suggest Nephalia Academy as people may side in hand disruption.

August 22, 2016 4:34 p.m.

The bigger problem is Eldrazi Titans- the old 3 all say when is enters the yard from ANYWHERE shuffle yard back in. So literally in order to win I need to respond with that trigger on the stack to exile Emrakul & yard or I cannot win.... and needless to say, Emrakul sees modern play. As for the academy, I might do that. I'll think about it definitely, not a bad idea.
