Kittys!!!

anyhow personal pref +1 Spear of Heliod -1 Acolyte's Reward i think id rather get to play the spear since most removal itself doesnt deal dmg already got enough protection spells. atleast thats what i think.

Huh, didn't think about that. I was worried that having more than 2 spears would be a dead draw to be honest. But, true about the removal. Not a lot of burn, more just direct kill spells.

But im still not convinced about having 3 spears.... Maybe 1 Path of Bravery and drop 1 Acolyte's Reward ? thank you for commenting!

Considering another crazy cat lady: Ephara, God of the Polis . Heliod giving my guys vigilance (face it, half of them do, or skimisher does.) is redundant, and I'd like life gain from Oreskos Sun Guide as much as possible.

With Ephara, God of the Polis , making tokens with Brimaz, King of Oreskos i would be drawing alot of cards, right? Seems nice.

what do you think?

in playtesting against my oprah deck, your deck lost 2-1. the game you won, you drew all your little guys and 3 of your soldiers, but the other two you were stuck with large creatures and removal. I would consider dropping you skirmishers for two more ethereal armors or Chosen by Heliod

February 2, 2014 7:05 p.m.

Kizmetto says... #8

Ah, thank you very much for playtesting! I'll be testing yours shortly.Shame to hear that the skirmisher's weren't as useful as I had hoped. I might swap those two out for maybe two Archangel of Thune to fill out the curve, and with Path of Bravery and Oreskos Sun Guide it could make my kittens bigger. What do you think?

As for the Ethereal Armor , there isnt many enchantments, or did the initial +1/+1 first strike really help?

February 2, 2014 7:16 p.m.

JamestheJoo says... #9

they did help and sun guide was pretty huge you gained a bunch of life on game one. technically your deck should rock mine because I run 8 multi-colored creatures and have 3 multi-color instants.

Kizmetto says... #10

Alright then. I have dropped 2 Heliod, God of the Sun for 2 more Ethereal Armor , and also swapped Angelic Skirmisher for Archangel of Thune

thanks JamestheJoo

Some guys that are always a party are Fiendslayer Paladin , Frontline Medic , Daring Skyjek and Precinct Captain .

February 3, 2014 12:35 a.m.

Kizmetto says... #12

but they're not cats, however, Daring Skyjek is a possibility. What would you drop for some of these cards?

Would Fiendslayer Paladin be a good sideboard option? I do see black and red in my meta.

HeftyUpTop says... #13

It's a bit more of a rare card, but with your hope of throwing out a ton of Cat tokens you might want to consider a few Phantom General to stack on to Spear's +1/+1

February 3, 2014 1:18 a.m.

Kizmetto says... #14

Hmm! I was actually looking for a 4 drop to fill out my curve actually. I might test that out, it seems neat! (and now maybe Precinct Captain would be worth running also....)

What would you drop? Im thinking 2 or 3 Phantom General

February 3, 2014 1:49 a.m.

HeftyUpTop says... #15

Precinct Captain is always a good card, though scales better with enchantments. For either that or Phantom General I would drop 1x Brimaz (since he's Legendary) and maybe a Soldier of the Pantheon for 2 of whichever you prefer.

Also, unless you already have them, Brimaz looks like he's going to be one honker of a costly guy. He's sitting at $30 right now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him rise a bit. I saw over a dozen Gods get picked up over 4 pre-releases this weekend, even a few Kiora's, but not a single Brimaz.

Hopeful Eidolon is always a great card , Phalanx Leader if ya haven't seen him yet Pride Guardian Trained Caracal meow meow just cards I thought of.. Cheers :D +1 from me

Kizmetto says... #17

Hmm, You are right about the price. I am currently in posession of one, with a second on the way , from a favor i did for a friend a while ago. 3 might be do-able haha. I will drop one Brimaz for one Phantom General and test that for a while. Thanks!

Oh my, i am actually tempted by the Trained Caracal since that is exactly the same as Hopeful Eidolon minus the enchantment type and the bestow. but again im not sure. This IS white weenies though, so i would want more 1 drops....

What do you guys think of Archetype of Courage ? I think its good, first strike is nice and expecially if i double block things??

February 3, 2014 4:07 a.m.

Kizmetto says... #18

I love Pride Guardian so much, but he's not standard at the moment :( and Phalanx Leader is a heroic tigger, which i dont have much of - thus why im not running Vanguard of Brimaz in this deck, thanks for the suggestions though thee_Forrest !

You love cats? Then where's Ajani's Chosen ? You play quite a few enchantments, you might want to consider him, and remove one Gods Willing for another Ethereal Armor . Cast for 1, gain a 2/2 (or more) token.

I have two white weenie-decks myself, I'd appreciate if you could take a look :)
White weenie beatdown
Blessed weenies

Ah, I dont know whom to take out in place for Ajani's Chosen . He doesnt affect the field immediatly, thats all... I would like to run him though, i have 4 foils haha...

Sure, i'll take a look! Thanks for commenting fellow weenie :)

Pal, get some Precinct Captain action up in here, it's everything you want and more

February 4, 2014 6:18 a.m.

Kizmetto says... #22

Agh yes, I really do want Precinct Captain , but what to drooooop.... i'm thinking Eidolon of Countless Battles maybe...?

The deck seems all over the place at the moment, if Devotion is your focus, bump Nykthos to 4 as well as Precinct Captain, cut the Sun Guide, it's cute but doesn't do enough to justify the place, as well as the Phantom General.

You're a bit deep on planeswalkers, Ajani seems less than great in this deck, where you have no huge dudes to jump, Elspeth is a fine 1 of.

I don't think you have the enchantment density to justify Ethereal Armour. Cut path of bravery, again, it's cute but doesnt do enough, run 3 Spears.

Boros Reckoner is a good card.

Acolyte's Reward is trash.

You want to hit Brimaz on T3, failing that, you want Archetype of courage on T3 (T4 if you hit brimaz), so bump them both up to 4.

As for the sideboard, drop Blind Obedience for Imposing Sovereign, Add another Fiendslayer, he's great right now, cut down on the Glares (it's not /THAT/ good).Celestial Flare also seems pretty janky.

Unfortunately There isn't much in the way of answers to Drown in Sorrow, so Fortify will have to do.

If you're still looking for cards to fill your 60, throw in some Eidolon of Countless Battles, he's a pretty cool guy.

Kizmetto says... #24

Hm hhmm, yes, i see what you're syaing. It is quite all over the place and not really focused on the one idea.

I will however, be keeping the Oreskos Sun Guide as i want to emphasise on the cat deck, rather than looking exactly like every other weenie deck out there currently? :)

I'll cut the Path of Bravery again for now, as well as Phantom General and Acolyte's Reward . I'll have to track down some Reckoners... They're hard to find haha.

I do like Eidolon of Countless Battles alot, haha! He might come back in after I alter the deck in just a moment.

Again, i really appreciate the comment. Thank you!

I would trade 2 Oreskos Sun Guide for 2 Precinct Captain . Sure, the lifegain is nice, but it's situational and can cost you your creature if you attack into a strong defense (and/or your opponent wishes to trade). A 2/2 first striker is simply much more relevant, even with the possible redundancy of Archetype of Courage waiting to be dropped on turn 3.
In fact I'm not even sure whether the Archetype would make that much of a difference, with Ethereal Armor in your deck. Let us know how it plays out. Try to find a way to balance the redundancies in this deck so that you avoid running into too many of them too often.
