Sideboard

Maybeboard

B/W deck focused around enchantments and enchantment creatures.

Underworld Coinsmith and Grim Guardian guarantee extra value out of each enchantment. With the exception of Master of the Feast, none of the other creatures really blow the game out, but Ethereal Armor and Eidolon of Countless Battles can suddenly turn that Brain Maggot into a real threat.

Underworld Connections draws us cards and pumps our enchantment count.

Spiteful Returned is kind of an iffy spot on the 2 drop, but the fact he has bestow and is a Pulse Tracker on steroids makes his pretty efficient. If Returned were to be replaced it would be by Nyx-Fleece Ram.

Banishing Light is Oblivion Ring. Enough said.

Athreos, God of Passage. Enchantment? Check. Beats Supreme Verdict? Check. Easy to get online? Check. This guy does everything this deck wants to and then some. The only possible drawback is having a flooded hand after getting Wrathed, but if we have to discard down to 7, we have a singleton of Whip of Erebos for even more value.

Sideboard isn't anything too special. Aegis of the Gods is just a ludicrous 2 drop for this set that lets us get around Thoughtseize and just about every variant of Burn as well as being, of course, an enchantment.

Thoughtseize. Because black.

Eidolon of Rhetoric I think could end up in many sideboards. It is extremely good against Esper because they have to decide to let you resolve Master of the Feast or Athreos, or casting Sphinx's Revelations. And with a 4 toughness, it is a solid addition against aggro decks that want to flood the board and bash in with dudes. And guess what? Enchantment Creature.

Hero's Downfall just in case your opponent windmill slams a Stormbreath Dragon in your face. Also allows Banishing Light freedom to hit more non-creatures/walkers.

Deicide. Instant speed Revoke in a block with heavy enchantment flavor. Rips Thassa a new one. Very excited for this card.

Glare of Heresy allows even more freedom for Banishing Light. Takes care of Detention Sphere and Elspeth, Sun's Champion, what else do you want?

Dictate of Erebos could be really solid against decks with bigger dudes than us. If we have Dictate on board with an Athreos, we can freely trade or double block with other creature decks and get 2 and 3-for-1s.

Blind Obedience is just a white sideboard staple anymore and works well with the deck overall.
