One of the more expensive decks I have on here. The goal is to outlive other opponents by draining their life and adding to your's, as well as punishing them for dropping creatures. There are elements of control in this deck that are designed to slow their pace down and force them to think more.
Creatures
Cliffhaven Vampire: Everytime you gain life, each opponent loses 1 life. This combos really well with everything else in the deck. Especially when your lifegain spreads out, all those little 1s add up. Pair this with drana's emissary and Authority of the Consuls and you're gaining and draining like a machine. This puts the game on a clock.
Defiant Bloodlord: When you gain life, target opponent loses that much life. This sort of speaks for itself, the important thing is if you're gaining life with the above mentioned combo, this ability kicks each time.
Kalastria Healer: When she or an ally enters the battlefield you gain life and each opponent loses life. By now, you should see where this is all going. It can be a lot to remember at first. All but bloodlord are allies in this deck.
Drana, Liberator of Malakir: Another ally to trigger lifegain. She can be a nice card to have early game and if your opponents don't have much to deal with flying you can add the counters on quick. You might not really need to attack much with this deck but if you do have the opportunity it could speed the end along quicker. Tack on a grotesque mutation as well just to trigger cliffhaven's ability and gain more life. Pair that with Bloodlord and you may just finish them off.
Drana's Emissary: On your upkeep you gain life and each opponent loses life. Works well with the rest of the deck and is also an ally.
Planeswalker
Sorin, Grim Nemesis: He might not really be needed unless you make it to late game with a stubborn opponent. The +1 alone can prove to be lethal, the -9 might be nuclear if you have cliffhaven and a lot of life.
Enchantments
Campaign of Vengeance: Everytime one of your creatures attacks you gain 1 and defender loses 1 life. With multiple creatures attacking, throw in a grotesque mutation and have cliffhaven on the field (his name pops up a lot) and you're dealing out some damage to everyone but yourself of course.
Authority of the Consuls: This adds an element of control and a source of nonstop lifegain. Everytime they drop a creature you gain life, pair this with defiant bloodlord and cliffhaven vampire. They start hurting themselves.
Sorcery
Alms of the vein: I don't think this needs an explanation by now.
Transgress the mind: Another useful element of control, lets you see their hand as well as take any of their precious high drops (think eldrazi)
Instants
Anguished Unmaking: I hate Avacyn, so I love the card art. This exiles any nonland permanent. Good for getting rid of indestructible creatures or annoying artifacts or enchantments. You can spare the 3 life pretty easily.
Grotesque Mutation: Another lifegain element that synergizes with the rest of the deck.
Dual Lands
Shambling Vent: Black and white dual land that can give you some lifegain/drain if you need it to.
Last Thoughts
The idea is that everytime you do something or the opponent does something, punishment is handed out and leaves you sitting with a high life total while putting pressure on other players to end the game fast. Sorin is expensive and you might not need him, it might not be a bad idea to replace him with more creatures. You might also not need Drana, Liberator of malakir. I would recommend that if you replace either of these it should be done with allies.
