Soooooo if you look at my Orzhov Aggro deck it worked well but not quite where I wanted it. Soooo I did a thing and instead of trying to pump my creatures and swing for game as early as possible I turned it into a straight control deck.
So the idea is we have
Killian, Ink Duelist
to cast multiple kill spells for cheap. Then we got
Sedgemoor Witch
yo help create pest and build an army off casting kill spells and
Leonin Lightscribe
to buff out army up with each spell cast.
I kept plump the forbidden in the deck so if needed we can sac pest to keep out hand full of kill spells or try and get plains walkers removal when an ugin or something gets dropped and with Sedgemoor Witch out you can sac your army at no cost to you and with two Sedgemoors out you can double your army quickly.
Hunt for Specimens
is there to create a pest and either grab an extra removal spell, get an environmental science for land when needed. Or just overall add options to your hand while still making a pest. And that's basically the run down.
Silverquill Command
really shines here cause as long as you are keeping their creatures in the graveyard it's not hard to be able to buff one of your creatures and force sac what you want. But it's alsongood for pulling a killian or Lightscribe out. However one of the nicest parts of this deck is Killian and Sedgemoor both have menace so it's easy to attack around one creature and still do damage as you are killing anything they try to put down
Lastly I just gotta say how much I love
Murderous Rider
for the extra removal especially for plains walkers and still be able to play a 2/3 with lifelink that can easily get recycled back into the deck.
So this is my Orzhov pest control. Currently preforming really well at mythic rank so if you guys like the idea please upvote and as always I'm up for any constructive criticism!
Something I thought about adding was a blot out the sky for extra tokens and the chance at removing all enchantments and plains walkers in one fail swoop but currently runs well enough I'm not sure it's needed.. thoughts?? Love to hear what y'all think in the comments
